Good Morning Beloved,

Happy Friday!

Whew!  I don’t know how it is where you are, but it is mad, crazy busy around here today.  Isn’t life funny?  One day it’s quiet and calm and then BOOM! …. chaos.  It may sound strange but during times like this it is possible to step into a quiet place…even in the midst of a storm.  In hectic times, we are presented with two opportunities.  One to become flustered and aggravated and one to step aside… breathe, pray, think, and then act.  I was presented with just such an opportunity just a short while ago… this morning.  When I paused to allow my spirit to become calm and still, the solution to the situation came into focus and everything else fell smoothly into place.  I found this beautiful promise in Isaiah 45:2 ~

I will go before you, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: And I will give you the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the LORD, which call you by your name, am the God of Israel.

Surely God must have been talking to some great spiritual leader who had done something great right?  Wrong.  If you read a little further you find, that the person He was talking to Cyrus, did not even know God.  And what’s more, God called him “His anointed” (gasp!). They’ll mess up your theology.  God promised all of that to someone who did not know who He was.  My point…. if God cared so much, and blessed so readily someone who did not know Him, how much more will He take care of those who not only know Him, but love and honor Him.

…. and that’s Good News!!!

Cartoonist’s Comment:

Here is the verse in context. It is quite a promise from God’s Word.

If you make the Most High your dwelling—even the LORD, who is my refuge- then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. –

Psalm 91: 9-12 NIV

U Blessed!

Have A Fabulous Day and a Wonderful Weekend!
