With Your very own hands You formed me; now breathe Your wisdom over me so I can understand You. When they see me waiting, expecting Your Word, those who fear You will take heart and be glad. I can see now, God, that Your decisions are right; Your testing has taught me what’s true and right. Oh, love me—and right now!—hold me tight! just the way You promised. Now comfort me so I can live, really live; Your revelation is the tune I dance to. Let the fast-talking tricksters be exposed as frauds; they tried to sell me a bill of goods, but I kept my mind fixed on Your counsel. Let those who fear You turn to me for evidence of Your wise guidance. And let me live whole and holy, soul and body, so I can always walk with my head held high.
[
Psalm 119:73]

“Keep Your Head Up!”

Good Afternoon Beloved,

That Word alone should completely eradicate any trace of insecurity and low self-esteem from the mind of the Believer.   We all have areas that need to be improved, and things about ourselves that the we want to change or wish were different.  Catching hold to the revelation that God “made” us.  We are unique… a precious jewel.. a rare and priceless artifact.  We are one of a kind… a designer’s original.  You can search all over the world, and even if you could go back in time, you will never find another you.  That’s pretty amazing.  Every person came here with a purpose and a God-breathed destiny.  Some people’s destiny make affect a greater number of people, but there really are no big “I’s” and “little you’s” in the heart of God.  The mother who chose full time ‘Home-work’, holds as much significance as the person with the Fortune 500 company that supports a small country.  I’ve heard people say that they don’t care what people think about them, as long as God is happy with them.  That is good, up to a point.  In this verse we see that people need to see something in us that is enviable.  We are the only bible some people have ever seen… especially in the day we live in.  We are Ambassadors for Christ.  Representatives of the Kingdom of God.  We are here to grow in the knowledge, wisdom and love of God.  His concern was a lost, confused and dying world, and I believe He wants that to be our concern as well.  Now, if we are bogged down in self-pity, self-hatred, self-consciousness and other kinds of self-centeredness, we will not be able to complete our mission.  I remember a man who was talented and gifted, but his warped sense of ‘self’ robbed him of what could have been a fruitful and productive life.  It stole a relationship he could have had with his family (to date they have not spoken), and separated him from his child.  It also stole a potentially lucrative career, and his health.  Most of all it robbed him of a healthy relationship with God.  Thankfully this young man is still alive, and as long as he is living, he has a chance to change, but there are many, many years that he will never recover.  Corrupted focus was an extremely high price to pay with nothing in return.  Our vision has to be clear towards ourselves and others.  Our minds need to be de-cluttered.  Remember Paul advised us to think on things that were “pure, lovely and of a good report”.  Our spirits need to be healed from every hurtful word spoken over us from another broken vessel.  We can’t control what other people think or say, but we can control what will will accept in our heart.  What did God say?  … that He made us “in His image and after His own likeness”, that we were made, “a little lower than Elohim (some translations say the ‘Angels’”, that we are, “seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus” … I’m going with that.

… that Beloved is Good News today!

U Blessed!

Church Tea Party
-Ephesians 6:12

In 1773, the American revolutionaries resisted the British authorities and their tea tax by dumping the British tea into Boston Harbor. As Christians, we are also in resistance against the evil spiritual rulers and authorities of Satan’s kingdom.

Building Christian character can be a strain sometimes, but it is necessary to “keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” – 2 Peter 1:8 NIV
