I will praise You; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are Your works; and that my soul knows right well.
Made From Good Stock
Good Morning Beloved,
Happy Monday! Ad execs spend billions every year trying to convince us otherwise. They try to tell us how utterly pitiful we are, and if we only buy their toothpaste/watch/car/cereal/juice, etc… that we will be unstoppable, unconquerable and fabulous. Heads will turn, birds will sing, and we will get the corner office in the penthouse suite. I heard my daughter lamenting that a certain shampoo that “promised” to keep hair from ‘poofing’ did not live up to its claim. “Caveat emptor” meaning “let the buyer beware” or in layman’s terms “Oh well…”. There is a balance. We are fearfully and wonderfully made, however the Apostle Paul tells us in Romans 7:18 ~
For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwells no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
and we are told in 2nd Corinthians 4 ~
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
God doesn’t want us to get it twisted, the glory in us is Him. He can take all of the credit, because without Him we could do nothing. Even to those who have made themselves His enemy, whatever measure of success they have can be attributed to God. How? Without the breath He has given them… they would be dead
. That’s why the Word declares “let EVERYTHING that has breath praise the Lord”. By shear virtue of the ‘thing’ having breath testifies of God’s goodness and mercy. It’s another chance we have been given. We should always desire to be better. If something needs ‘tweaking’, tweak it. Don’t like your hair change it, don’t like your weight do something about it, but watch how you talk about God’s Beloved (you)! I’ve heard people literally curse their own bodies, by constantly speaking death and a hatred of themselves… those folks need to change their confession, and speak life over themselves. How can a person hate themselves and love others? That is a problem. Seeing ourselves through the eyes of God will give us a whole new prospective. He loves us through our imperfections, and gives us the power and grace to make whatever change needs to be made.
…. and that Beloved is Good News!
U Blessed
Have A Fabulous Day
