Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For His sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with Him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with Himself depends on faith. I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised Him from the dead. I want to suffer with Him, sharing in His death, so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead!

[Philippians 3:8-11 New Living Translation]

“To Know Him”

Good Morning Beloved,

Paul was serious wasn’t he?  His encounter with the Lord on the road to Damascus, had a profound impact on him the rest of his life.  The more he learned of Jesus, the more he wanted to learn. He even wanted to know Him in the fellowship of His suffering.  He wanted to know that part of Jesus that, “Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross” (Philippians 2:6-8).  That the King of all kings, The Sovereign Master of the Universe would wrap Himself in an “earth suit” and allow Himself to be sacrificed for sinful man blew his mind.  He did not have the privilege that Peter, James, John and the other disciples had.  He did not ‘hang out’ with Jesus for three years.  He was not able to witness the miracles of Jesus firsthand, but we can tell that he had a hunger to.  He put aside everything he ever had or ever knew to know Jesus more.  His life was a quest to get as close to Jesus as he could.  This desire for intimacy, fed his need to tell other people about the Kingdom of God.  He was consumed with the presence of the Living God.  There was nothing more important that fulfilling his mission.  Paul knew that he would not have much time, and we can sense the urgency in him.  Something about a heavenly encounter.  A touch from on high, as the older saints would say.  We will get more than we will ever want, when we realize that He is all that we will ever need.

But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
[Philippians 4:19]

Jesus Christ is the Same - Yesterday, Today, and Forever

…. and that Beloved is Good News!

U Blessed!

Have A Fabulous Day
