Small Yet Powerful!

Finally, all of you should be of one mind. Sympathize with each other. Love each other as brothers and sisters. Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude. Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will bless you for it. For the Scriptures say,“If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns his face
against those who do evil.”
[1 Peter 3:10]
Good Morning Beloved!
HAPPY FRIDAY!
I heard someone say recently regarding a well known public figure that, “they just need to stop talking”. Recently, there seems to be an even greater influx of public opinions. Every day, another person seems to be getting lambasted in the media for something that they have said. The bible says, “Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! [James 3:5]. Proverbs 18:21 tells us that, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” I don’t think we realize the power of a spoken word. Hebrews 11:3 says that, “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” Just by a Word. When God breathed on Adam, something happened that was so astounding, I don’t think we will fully comprehend it on this side of heaven. ‘Ru-ah’ .. the breath of God. A completely different creature was formed from that dirt. There are those who want to equate us with animals. They would call us just another mammal. No, we are humanity. No animal was ever breathed on by the Father. That sets us apart from any other created thing. With that separation comes responsibility. Not to abuse, but to nurture and protect. Not just the animal kingdom, but other “God-breathed upon humans”. We need to know that words matter… our words matter. With the power of our tongue, we can crush someones’ spirit, or give them hope to keep going. If we “search for peace”, we will find it. We are blessed to be a blessing.
… and that Family is Good News!
U Blessed!
Have A Fabulous Day and a wonderful weekend!
