Direction

“Direction”

Good Afternoon Beloved,

Direction. Isn’t it funny how some people seem to know exactly what it is they are supposed to be doing in life? They know where they are supposed to be and how they are to get there. Other people are completely clueless and wander aimlessly through life. The vast majority probably resides somewhere in the middle. Sometimes we put unnecessary stress on ourselves. Remember the last recorded words Mary spoke about Jesus? They had run out of wine for a wedding feast (really bad manners), Mary told Jesus about the need, then she turned to the servants and said to them, “Whatever He says to you, do it” (John 2:5). While Jesus walked the earth with His disciples, they had the benefit of sitting at His feet and getting directions straight from His mouth. They could look into His eyes and touch Him. His presence is as real with us today and it was with them back then. We may not see Him with our physical eyes, but we can ‘see’ Him through His written Word. We can feel Him in our reborn spirit, and we were given the gift of the Holy Spirit to “lead and guide us into all truth” (John 16:13) (You know that ‘somethin‘ that we’re always talking about…”somethin‘ told me not to go this way). Jesus knew that this day would come. A day when people like us would be born who would trust His Word and believe in Him, without ever seeing His face.
