Your love, GOD , fills the earth!
Train me to live by Your counsel. Be good to Your servant, GOD ; be as good as Your Word. Train me in good common sense; I’m thoroughly committed to living Your way. Before I learned to answer You, I wandered all over the place, but now I’m in step with Your Word. You are good, and the source of good; train me in Your goodness. The godless spread lies about me, but I focus my attention on what You are saying; They’re bland as a bucket of lard, while I dance to the tune of Your revelation. My troubles turned out all for the best— they forced me to learn from Your Textbook. Truth from Your mouth means more to me than striking it rich in a gold mine. With Your very own hands You formed me; now breathe Your Wisdom over me so I can understand You.
(Psalm 119:64-73)
Delivered or Suppressed?
Good Afternoon Beloved,
This verse makes me say “AMEN!”… Wisdom. God told gave us a wonderful invitation. He said that “whosoever lacks wisdom, let them ask of God who gives to all liberally”. Whatever dilemma we face, we need to know that no matter how small or how large it is, God can handle it. He won’t stutter, He does not get flustered or embarrassed. He is patient and kind, and He is The Answer to every question… asked and unasked. He already knows us. He searches the depths of our hearts and He sees all. There is a lot going on around us and within us. So many questions. So many secret longings. So much restlessness and feelings of injustice and pain. I heard a question asked of a radio personality just today. A lady sent a message to Lonnie Hunter asking how to deal with the feelings of injustice she was experiencing. Her niece was shot and killed by a group of ‘thrill killing teens’ on a spree. All three were caught and sentenced to life without possibility of parole. She had never believed in the death penalty… until this horrific tragedy hit her family. Now she wants somebody to pay with their life. His answer to her was beautiful and ministering. He let her know that the justice system had meted out what they felt was a just punishment, and now she must turn that situation over to God and let Him heal her. He told her that holding onto bitterness would only destroy her and stop her from living. What a heart-breaking situation. Not only for this precious lady, but also for the loved ones of the perpetrators (as well as the perpetrators themselves). For those of us who know the Word of God, if we’re not careful, we can fall into a state of ‘suppression’. Because we know the scripture and verse that “should” apply, we think that we are exempt from the feelings and emotions that we are experiencing at the time. How do we know when we’ve truly been set free from the thing? I like how Tyler Perry’s “Madea” explained it:
If you see the person, and you don’t beat the *devil out of them…. then you’re over it…
(I added “devil”… those who know Madea understand why ;0)
Unforgiveness is a virus that will destroy its host. It will taint everything in our lives if we don’t get rid of it. What I’m discovering is that God will allow some things to remain hidden until we are able to deal with it. Remember,
“There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.
{1 Corinthians 10:13]
Always bearing in mind that God has His finger on the pressure gage. We may not understand it, but He really is in control. The end of the thing will be better. The thing is, that for the child of God, no, we’re not exempt from bad thoughts, feelings, and emotions, but the blood of Jesus has cleansed us from our sins. Jesus sent The “Helper”… The Holy Spirit to guide and Comfort us, and we have the Word of God to renew our minds. No matter what, we are victorious because “we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus”!!!
… and that Beloved.. is Good News!
Y Stress? … U Blessed!
Have A Fabulous Day
