Good Afternoon Beloved,
So… my inbox has been buzzing this week. What’s the buzz? Relationships. Old, young and in-between. I’ve never seen so many angry people. Each sex pointing the finger at the other for wrongs, slights, irritations, stereotypes, misrepresentations, lies, broken promises, hurt feelings … you name it.. I’ve seen it this week– and it’s only Wednesday! People exchanging partners faster than Wall Street. Sadly, in search of love, happiness and fulfillment, they are finding more frustration and misery. Caught up in a vicious cycle, they blame their latest conquest for their unhappiness when the thrill is gone and set out looking for another victim– I mean person – only to start the whole process all over again never realizing that you truly do “reap what you sow” .. or in more contemporary terms, “what goes around comes around”. (*sigh*)There is an old saying that “all the world is a stage” . Someone quipped, “well, if that’s the case..who is the audience?”. The answer? God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit), The Host of Heaven, Satan and his demons. That’s a huge audience! All intently watching the battle for the human soul. Satan bent on destroying it, God determined to save it. Everything can be stripped down to this Truth. Everything we will ever face in life, from who we will marry, to how we conduct ourselves on our job, will cause us to make a choice on who we’re going to believe. The Word of God tells us that:
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
[Matthew 24:24]
God wants to know our availability. He will never do for us what He’s given us the power and authority to do. He will handle what we can’t. Simple as that. It is so easy to become distracted.. disillusioned.. disheartened.. disgusted. Consider the source. The enemy is a thief, so why are we surprised when he “steals”. He is a murderer so why are we surprised when he “kills” and there is nothing in him but iniquity, so why are we surprised when he “destroys”. Our God knows how deceptive the enemy is. He knows his tricks and tactics (he has no new ones, by the way, just the same ole stuff in different packaging
). We are to be sober and vigilant, tempered with grace, full of love. Our growth is essential, because “the strong must bear the infirmities of the weak”. Seems like a lot, but we are unusual people. We’re the Body of Christ.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
