“BELOVED” 

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved.

Good Afternoon Beloved,   I love that phrase, don’t you?  “accepted in the Beloved”.  Many in today’s society suffer from what is called “low self esteem”.  The thing I find most odd, is that some folks who suffer from this, don’t even realize it.  Anyone who spends an inordinate amount of time talking about “haters”, may be a victim of this insidious spirit.  If you know who and whose you are, why worry about ‘haters’.  What difference should it make to you if they don’t like you or something about you.  Yes… we should care about our reputation.  We should care about how we wear the name of Christ and how we carry His Word.  We should not care that someone is ‘hatin’ on us because of where we live, what we drive or what we wear.  Entertainers have made millions off of the idea of  ’squashing haters’.  Our children have become almost ‘hater obsessed’..listen to their conversations, and I guarantee you the word ‘hater’ is going to come up at least once.  “I can’t stand her… She thinks she’s cute”.. well, should she think she’s ugly? “Who does he think he is… he ain’t all that!” … what difference does it make, how they view themselves? … hmmm… We all have something we deal with, whether anyone else knows or not.  As we grow in the love of Jesus, we begin to see things as He sees them.  Our focus will shift once we see how much our Heavenly Father loves us.  His love is not based on what we have, or what we can do for Him.  God’s love is based on the fact that we are His.  Simple as that.  My daughter Jah is smart, beautiful and sweet, but that has nothing to do with why I love her.  I loved her from the moment I found out I was pregnant.  She was my baby.  I was totally smitten when we locked eyes for the first time in the delivery room.  God feels the same about you.  From the first time He saw you, as He fashioned you in your mother’s womb, He loved you.  He wooed you and waited on you to turn to Him and accept His love gift to you.  Can I tell you a secret? … sssh.. don’t tell nobody… That is why, I become irritated with people screaming at the people of God to “GIVE GOD SOME PRAISE!” and berating them when they just aren’t loud enough.  My first thought is that any praise that is contrived and forced is not a real praise at all… only noise.  I believe God would rather see a person raise their hands in silent praise, adoration and surrender, than hear a racket that means nothing.  Some people are naturally loud.  You can hear them coming a mile away, others are more reserved and calm, and still others fall somewhere in the middle.  Whatever your temperament.  However you express your love for the God of your salvation … He sees and it is accepted because you are…

… and that Beloved is Good News!
