You are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour,
wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing,
but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
Matthew 5:13

Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltiness,
wherewith will you season it? Have salt in yourselves,
and have peace one with another.
Mark 9:50

wherewith shall it be seasoned?

Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt,
that you may know how you ought to answer every man.

“SALT”

Good Afternoon Beloved!
I caught a program this weekend that touched my heart and blessed my soul. In 2004, six year old, Alex Malarkey was severely injured when his dad’s car was broadsided. The force of the trauma nearly decapitated this precious little boy. He was in a coma for two months. It was a miracle that he survived. He and his family were interviewed for a documentary on his powerful testimony. Now 12 years old, his testimony is not only that he survived, but that he had a heavenly encounter. He spoke of being escorted by Angels through the gates of heaven and talking with Jesus www.theboywhocamebackfromheaven.com. His desire is to become a missionary when he grows up, and tell people about the love of Jesus. This young man doesn’t fully realize that he is doing that now. The joy and peace in this young man left me convicted. Watching him and his family was heartwarming. His siblings absolutely adore him and look up to him. People of all backgrounds in his town marvel over his strength, and courage. What convicted me, was that here is child who can do nothing on his own. For a long time, he was connected to a breathing machine. He is paralyzed from the neck down. He is intelligent, smart, sensitive and blessed. The only thing that really “got him down” was that he felt he was not a “good” enough big brother to his siblings. His father did something beautiful. He took each child one by one into Alex’s room and asked them who their hero was and why (OK.. tears.. whew..). Their answers varied as to the “why” (that he loved God, he was smart, fun, strong, knew a lot about all kinds of sports) .. but they all said that he was their hero. What a legacy. They respect as well as love him. I love him to. I appreciate him for showing me how blessed I really am. We can let the smallest challenges get to us and cause us to “lose” our joy. Someone says something or does something and we let it ruin our whole day. We have the ability to feed and clothes ourselves. We can see, we can hear and we are mentally healthy (praise God for a sound mind!). No matter what is going on, we have A LOT to give God praise for. This little soldier taught me that. He and his family are still believing God for his total healing, but they are not waiting on the manifestation to come to live. The bible calls us “salt”. Salt has gotten a bad rep in recent years.. too much can contribute to hypertension. The Body of Christ has gotten a bad rep too… have you seen how we’ve been portrayed in the media lately? Salt is still a preservative… and so are we. Each of us has a ministry. We all have a voice and a place in the plan of God. Alex teaches what true riches and blessing are through his soft voice and his trusting heart. He has a zeal and a rest that most of us don’t have. We believe in Jesus and yet we’ve never physically seen Him. We believe in heaven, yet we’ve never physically been there… he has. That knowledge has totally and completely erased forever fear and doubt from his heart. He KNOWS… and he wants everybody to experience the joy he has. So the choice is ours today.. salt and light or pepper spray and darkness! LOL! .. folks around you a little tasteless? .. sprinkle a little salt on them.. remember your God is your rock, your defense and your exceeding great reward.
…. and that Beloved is Good News!
Y Stress? … U Blessed!
Have A Fabulous Day!

Oh Lord, help me not to cuss anybody today
Freeze my tongue, if someone gets in my way
Fill me with Your grace, so I might stay cool
I ‘m trying to do right, but I ain’t nobody’s fool
Cause me to humble myself, before I get fired
Even a saint like me sometimes gets tired
Praise You ’cuz You’ve saved me before
Rise up in me before I get in the door
All Mighty One, You know I need You close
Inspire me to be kind to folks
Show me how to love like You, not hate
Even me Lord, I believe it’s not too late
“Today, I ask You Dear Lord to meet me at the office door, and sit with me all day, with Your Holy Arm around my shoulder and Your Righteous Hand over my mouth when needed”
