Holy Bible: Genuine Soul Food

It was in the year King Uzziah died that I saw the Lord. He was sitting on a lofty throne, and the train of His robe filled the Temple. Attending Him were mighty seraphim, each having six wings. With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew. They were calling out to each other,

“Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies!
The whole earth is filled with His Glory!”

Their voices shook the Temple to its foundations, and the entire building was filled with smoke.  Then I said, “It’s all over! I am doomed, for I am a sinful man. I have filthy lips, and I live among a people with filthy lips. Yet I have seen the King, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.” Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs. He touched my lips with it and said, “See, this coal has touched your lips. Now your guilt is removed, and your sins are forgiven.” Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?”

I said, “Here I am. Send me.”

Good Morning Beloved,

Access…. I never tire of that heavenly promise.  Access to the very Throne of God.  Every time we breathe a prayer of thanksgiving, every time we cry out to God in anguish over a person, or a situation, every time we pause to just bless His name with the fruit of our lips… our prayers are immediately transported to the very Throne of God!  Ahhhh… I don’t think we can ever fully comprehend the magnitude of that on this side of Glory.  My Bishop (Cornell R. Hughes, St. John Christian Power Center) preached a message years ago, “Behind The Scenes”.  If we could get a sneak peak behind the scenes, many of lifes’ aggravations and irritations would be less… well …”aggravatin’ and irritatin’ ().  I am completely amazed when people argue against the diety and reality of God… or ‘intelligent design’.  As complex and wonderful as the human body has been designed, the thought that we just happened… just sorta evolved from slime to apes to the glorius creatures we are.  They have way more faith than I.  That would be like me finding a beautiful pearl and gold cadillac (fully loaded, keys in the ignition, suitcases in the trunk, gold cross hanging from the rear-view mirror) parked at the beach, and saying that it evolved from something in the sea.  You would think I was either terribly mistaken at best, or completely delusional.  We belong to a God who is Sovereign.  There is coming a day when every eye will see Him.  “Every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the Glory of God the Father”.  The thing is not to be on the wrong side of the gate while we’re doing all of that.  Our ultimate desire is to meet Jesus in peace, as His friend and joint-heir, having poured out as much as He put in us on the earth as possible.  Every song, every dance, every piece of literature, every invention, every kind word, every good deed… everything that God has invested in us.  It will be an interesting feat that can never be done, but will be fun trying.  Why can’t it be done?  Because the more you pour out…. the more He pours in…

…. and that my friend is Good News!

U Blessed,

Have A Fabulous Day

“ACCESS”

Written by FAVORED1 on May 29, 2008 – 6:01 am -

Good Morning Beloved,

Today is absolutely beautiful!  I’ve been musing over the word “access”.  A powerful word to the human spirit…. doesn’t that make you feel special?  You have ‘access’.  A sense that we are set apart… different.  Someone recognizes how fabulous we are.  A thought shot through my heart one Sunday…. and it is still reverberating in my spirit…. Jesus is our “all access” pass.  Not only in ’spiritual’ matters, but in ‘earthly’ ones as well.  Remember that “…..The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it”(1 Corinthians’s 10:26)  “Access”…. I remember going to a Prince concert in 1984.  My mom and I waited in the ‘purple rain’ from 8:00pm until the box office opened the next day.  A large multitude was already ahead of us.  When we got to the window the only seats available were in the “nose-bleed” section.  I took them… and then, he had the nerve to add additional shows…. people who did not pay the price we did, sleeping outside all night, had way better seats than we did.  The concert was packed, we found our heaven-ward seats… to my further irritation the large screen was not on, and we had to see the stage with our naked eyes.  From our vantage point… Prince seemed about 2 feet tall.  The music was good, but I left the concert highly disappointed.  I mention this story, because it proves a point.  We are willing to be disappointed, lose sleep, suffer inconvenience, spend money, and wait for that which is important to us.  I wanted to see Prince.  That was important to me.  Come hell or high water, I was getting into the Cap Center.  No price was too high.  I did not have access to Prince.  He did not come to the mic and say, “hey Regina, girl come on down here”….why would he…. he doesn’t know me.  Oh, but now, the Prince of Peace, the Lord of Lords, The King of Kings, my Adonai – Jesus … He not only knows me… but He has called me by my name — (you too).  Not only that, but He has blessed me, anointed me and appointed me for this time —- (you too!)  I have a great divine destiny in Him that makes me soooo special… but please no pictures… LOL!

U Blessed,

Have A Fabulous Day!
