Somebody’s Watching Us

Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable.
Romans 12:17
Good Afternoon Beloved!
What a beautiful morning! It has been an unusually busy Monday around here. I had the opportunity to live out this morning’s offering for real! Being honorable… not rendering ‘evil for evil’. Sounds really easy and noble on paper, but when it grows legs and we’re walking with it… it can be an entirely different thing
. Remember the song, “I always feel like somebody’s watching me”… well that is the truth. We are Christs’ Ambassadors and the world is watching us. My grandmother used to talk about the value in a name. Whether it is our family name, or those who ‘name the name of Christ’, our name or our reputation should concern us. We can’t control what people think, but we can control what we do. I had a conversation with one of the young ladies at our church yesterday. She used to work as a cashier in a well-known grocery chain store. While on her post at the ‘EXPRESS’ lane, a lady proceeded to load her groceries on the conveyor belt. Now, mind you, there were other people in line. To make matters worse, her companion brought another basket full of items and added them to the ladies’ order. These people completely ignored not only this sweet young ladies’ attempt to politely tell them they were in the wrong line, but they chose to ignore the other customers who tried to tell them the same. They were rude, disrespectful and arrogant. To make matters worse, one lady tried to engage this young lady in a conversation laced with God, told her to have a ‘blessed day’ and then reported her to management for not ‘smiling’. Needless to say, the whole episode left a bitter taste in my young friends mouth. Thankfully, she is already a person who knows and loves Jesus, but what if she wasn’t? How many folks have been turned completely off of the Gospel because of “Christians”. Not the ones who try to excuse their own short-comings by pointing their fingers, but those who have legitimate experiences. But, thank God … many people open their hearts and minds to the Gospel everyday because of a loving and faithful witness. One of my favorite gospel artists, Israel Houghton, often tells the testimony of his mother who was faced with an unplanned pregnancy. All of her circumstances led her to believe that abortion was her only option, but the words of a complete stranger, ignited something in her and we are blessed with a powerful and anointed man of God in the earth realm today. Lord help us to be examples of the Believer in word, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity (1 Timothy 4:12). We have been given to us everything we need pertaining to life and Godliness (2 Peter 1:3). With God ALL things are possible
! …. and that Beloved is Good News!
U Blessed!
Have A Fabulous Day

“PROMISE KEEPER”

“PROMISE KEEPER”
Good Morning Beloved,
We live in a world that makes excuse for, at best or will validate at worst, broken promises. No one is really expected to keep or even make a promise. It is even considered foolish and unwise by some (“you never know what will happen”). There always seems to be a back door. However, our Heavenly Father says,
Yet they seek Me daily, and delight to know My Ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of Me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.
“And so, My children, listen to Me, for all who follow My ways are joyful”
[Proverbs 8:32]
What are His ways?
He is the Rock, His work is perfect: for all His Ways are judgment: a God of Truth and without iniquity, Just and Right is He. [Deuteronomy 32:4]
His ways are also-
generous, gracious, interactive, honest, loyal, reverent, merciful, loving, pure in heart, sanctified (set apart), respectful, preserver of life, faithful, truthful, great, glorified, friendly, eternal…. holy.
He is a God whose ways are declared by scripture to be “beyond knowing”, yet He calls us to seek Him and promises to be found. Sound contradictory? Not really. What I believe that means, is that we can spend a lifetime getting to know God, and we will have only scratched the surface of what there is to know.
… and that Child of God is exciting Good News!
U Blessed!
Have a Fabulous Day

What A Fine Character You Have!!!
Written by FAVORED1 on October 7, 2008 – 11:43 am -Tuesday, October 7, 2008
May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ*—for this will bring much glory and praise to God
*[Greek with the fruit of righteousness through Jesus Christ.]
Good Morning Beloved,
This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!
Someone once said that character is who we are when no one is looking. What we do, even if there is no way we could get caught. Nobody will ever know. Well.. almost nobody… God sees all. People forget that. Maybe because there is no audible voice from heaven that shouts, “Hey… put that back! That’s not yours”… or “Hey! Turn that off!! … What are you doing looking at that!“…..”I SEE YOU!
… Actually, God is speaking all of the time. We hear Him. He speaks through His Word, to our spirit, through other people and even circumstances… (ever said “somethin’ told me not to turn here”). The more we seek God, the more we desire Him, the more we pray, the more we ingest His Word.. the more we become like Him. We take on His character–His nature. We have the ability to swim against cultural currents that despise God. Remember the saying, “any dead fish can float downstream“, our spirit has been quickened (made alive). We have the privilege of being called salt and light in our society. We are preservatives and we add flavor. We illuminate a dark world, and point them to a living Savior who loves them. We are called to live in peace, but that doesn’t mean rolling over and playing dead. Peace does not come without sacrifice. However, in Christ living in peace becomes a little easier, forgiveness becomes possible, rough places become a little smoother, crooked places a little straighter. Our goal is to be the person that, while people may disagree with our views, they will have to admit that we are a trustworthy people of fine character. A tall order, but we have help. We have an advocate. We have a friend. We have a God!
Cartoonist’s Comment:
We need to have faith in God to get us down the highway of life, to the destination that God has planned for us. The Word of God is the fuel that keeps our faith moving along.
