And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed. (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; you shall find the Babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

  The Peace Bringer…

Good Morning Beloved,

Christmas is almost here!  Most people know I LOVE celebrating birthdays!  Other people’s as well as my own. Christmas is the time of year set aside to celebrate the  birth our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  That’s a GOOD thing.  Yes, there are parts that are steeped in paganism, commercialism and other “ism’s”… but that is not what I celebrate.  My birthday is the day before Halloween.  All during the month of October, there are all sorts of Halloween celebrations, rituals and God knows what all, but that does not affect me and how I celebrate “my” day. I don’t ignore the day of my birth, just because someone else decides to celebrate it in an un-Godly manner, and we shouldn’t ignore Christmas for the same reason.  This was THE FIRST greatest event in all of human history.  God kept His promise to redeem man-kind by sending His only begotten Son to earth as a baby.  We don’t know exactly when Jesus was born.  We celebrate that He was born.  Just as a little side note.  In our family, we don’t know when my Grandmother on my mom’s side was born.  The records were destroyed and no one could remember.  There was even great uncertainty whether the year was 1899 or 1900, but a day was chosen ~January 10th~ to celebrate her birthday.  She was loved and appreciated and someone wanted to make sure she had a day set aside to celebrate her.  That is how I view the birth of the Christ Child.  He was the greatest love-gift of all time.  He is the Gift that keeps on giving.  When we give gifts, we are acting like our Heavenly Father.  A gift is not something you can ever earn.  It comes from the heart of the giver.  What would it look like if you gave me a gift and I pulled out my wallet and said, “OK.. how much do I owe you?” You would probably be insulted.. I know I would be.  God gave His BEST for us.  His Gift is often trashed, maligned, ignored, and mocked.. but for us it is treasured, adored, loved, and cherished.  Our most valuable asset is our relationship with the King of all Kings.. The Lord of all Lords.. JESUS.. The Christ.. The Anointed One.  Don’t allow the festivities or the pressures of the Holiday season to overwhelm you.  The most important gift will never be what is under the tree, but rather the One who would, many years after this blessed night, be hung on a tree for the sins of humanity.  This great Savior would then return to His place on the Throne of Heaven, ever making intercession for His Beloved ~ you and me~ and will return one day to bring us home… That’s the true Christ of Christmas….

… and that Beloved is Good News!

Y Stress? … U Blessed!

The BEST Gift Ever Given

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
[Luke 2:11]

The BEST Gift Ever Given

Good Afternoon Beloved,

This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!  Now let me start off by saying, I don’t have a clue when Jesus was actually born… alls I know is.. He was born and I’m glad about that, how ’bout you!   I celebrate not that He was born on December 25th, but that He was born.  God sent His love gift into the world to ransom sinful humanity back to Himself.  Now some people have a problem with being called sinners.  I heard one lady (who claims to have been a Christian at one time, but was enlightened by her “goddess”) lamenting on facebook that “it seemed everything was a sin, and “that its only bad cuz we say so” and that her goddess let her do everything by “trial and error” .  Sooo, alrighty then.. ummmph.. wonder how that’s working for her.  (Heavy sigh) Sin is sin no matter what we call it.  It has been judged by The Judge and the penalty was death. That is the significance of the “Christmas Event”.  Jesus was born to die for the sins of humanity.  His love is so wide you can’t get around it, so deep you can drown in it, don’t worry, if you allow Him to breathe into you, you won’t die, you’ll have new life. His love is so high you can’t get over it, just let Him pull you up to where He is so that you can see from His vantage point.  Yes, I celebrate the baby that was born to a virgin, betrothed to a carpenter.  I honor Him and love Him completely.  God gave me a precious gift.  On December 25, 1988, He gave me a beautiful little bundle of joy I named “Jah”.  She has been the joy of my life.  Beautiful inside and out.  Precious and sweet.  I would not give her life for “good” and “wonderful” people, so you know, giving her up to save scoundrels is totally out.  They would just have to perish, BUT God… He sent His best, the one and only… King of all Kings, Lord of all Lords, Sovereign and Master of the Universe to be that bridge linking humanity back to Himself!  Hallelujah!

(pause)… that Beloved… is Good News!

Y Stress… U Blessed!

HAVE A FABULOUS DAY!

For unto us a CHILD is born, unto us a SON is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His Name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty GOD, The everlasting FATHER, The PRINCE of PEACE.

[Isaiah 9:6]

The Gift That Keeps On Giving”

Good Afternoon Beloved,

Merry Christmas… There… that’s right I said it!  Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas!  I love Christmas!  Always have… always will.  I know that there is a new trend amongst believers to distance themselves from the Christmas holiday.  Some cite the historical background as “pagan” in nature.  Almost a sort of idol worship.  Others don’t like the “commercialization” of the season.  They feel that if we’re celebrating the birth of Christ, why does everyone get a gift but Him.  All valid points.  My daughter’s birthday is December 25th, and I know there would be some consequences and repercussions if she didn’t get a gift.  Just kidding…sort of.  She is an only child, but she doesn’t mind sharing, however, she would think it strange if I gave everybody a gift BUT her on her birthday.  That thought made me think. My prayer today was, Lord, what do you want for Your birthday?  When He tells me, I’ll tell you.  The other argument against Christmas is the, “no one knows when Jesus was born” sentiment.  Well, my grandmother had no idea when she was born.  She told me that the courthouse burned and those records were lost many, many years ago.  There was a dispute in her family as to whether it was 1899 or 1900.  Somebody along the way sort of picked a date (January 10, 1899) and that is the date we celebrated the birth of my beautiful grandmother.  Her date of birth was not as relevant as the fact that she WAS born.  Earth was graced with her presence.  She was a wonderful person and we appreciated her.  We celebrated her life.  I have the same take on Christmas.  I celebrate my Savior.  I give because that is part of His nature.  We are most like Him when we give out of a loving, willing, generous spirit.  I celebrate that at some point in human history the Father loved us so much that He gave us His Son….

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

[John 3:16]

PRAISE THE LORD for His wonderful Gift of Love!  Merry Christmas!

U Blessed!

Have A Fabulous Day and a Wonderful Weekend!
