“Shake ‘em off”

Good Morning Beloved,

Short and sweet…. shake ‘em off… every hindrance, every encumbrance, every fear, every feeling of low esteem, helplessness, hopelessness, defeat.  Shake ‘em off.  Every device sent to hinder and destroy… shake it off.  Greater is He who is within us, than he who is in the world [1 John 4:4].  Our God is “able to do exceeding, abundantly above all that we could ever ask or think according to the power that works within us” [Ephesians 3:20].   The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance [2 Peter 3:9].  We are children of God, heirs of God, joint heirs with the king of kings Jesus.  All power is in His hand and He has delegated power to us.  He said that, “…these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. [Mark 16:17-20:].  We were given this challenge of growing in faith in 2 Peter 1:3-7, “By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.  And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.  In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone”.  We can do it!

…. and that family is Good News!

U Blessed!
Have a Fabulous Day

“CHOOSE”

Written by FAVORED1 on January 24, 2008 – 9:24 am -

Good Morning Beloved,
I am praying with you, that your day will be blessed. God touched my heart this morning. I woke up (that’s a blessing right there), the word that was ringing in my spirit was “choice”. We hear a lot about choice these days. So many people, so loudly proclaiming freedom of “choice” for all kinds of behavior. Some of it just plain evil. Isn’t that what the bible said though, “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that count darkness as light, and light as darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20). So much is said for choice that it has almost developed a negative connotation. Proponents of ‘choice’ would be very surprised to learn that they weren’t the first to adopt that word. God was. He said, “See, I have set before you this day life and good, and death and evil, (Deuteronomy 30:15)…. choose…. It is recorded in Deuteronomy 30:19 “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore choose life, that both you and your seed may live”. God gave us the option whether to choose life or death, that’s awesome right there, but then He said let Me help you here… choose life. Yesterday we talked about how “out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks”. Today we need to know, that the words we speak are so powerful that we need to choose them very carefully. Remember, Proverbs 18:21Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. When we come to a crossroad, remember the road Jesus took to the cross. He made a choice…. for us. He was wrapped in humanity. He felt hunger, pain, anger. His body got tired… the same as us. He knew how horrific His death on the cross would be, and yet He chose to die, because He knew that without His sacrifice, we would never be able to be connected back to God. Fellowship. The same fellowship Adam and Eve enjoyed in the Garden. Just imagine God walking with Adam in the cool of the day… ‘good morning Adam….. good morning Father’, hey Father did you see how much fun the the Lion and the Lamb were having this morning playing…(don’t look for that in the bible, it isn’t there :0) Hey, but isn’t it good to know that we can actually ‘talk’ to our Heavenly Father… about anything (He knows everything anyway!)….. He’s waiting for us to ‘choose‘.

U Blessed

Have a great day!

Cartoonist’s Comment:

Like these school children crossing the street, we also can cross over from death to life. And like this truck driver, the Devil must stop at the name of Jesus.
