“Tenacious Faith”

Good Morning Beloved,

Happy Friday

Good Morning! I believe that verse has a tendency to make some in the Body of Christ a little nervous. I have not heard it preached as much as I used to. Could it be that they fear it will foster a “me first”, selfish Christian society? Sounds like we can write our own ticket doesn’t it? The key is love for Jesus. So simple, yet so powerful. God’s Word is a “discerner” of our “thoughts and intents” (Hebrews 4:12). Who is the Word? Jesus. Jesus is the “Word become flesh” (John 1:14). Hence, Jesus knows our motives. We can’t fool him. So if we love Him… and we do, our desires will change. What we want will began to meld into what He wants. Why do you want to teach? You have a love for children and you want to impart wisdom into them. Where did that come from. God. Why do you want to be TV celebrity? Is it to be seen and make insane amounts of money, so that you can wear shades, run from the paparazzi and complain about your lack of privacy?

Is that the reason, or do you have a desire for a larger platform with which to encourage people and point them to Jesus? You were designed by the Master to stand out… on your job, in your neighborhood, at your church. To ”prosper” in “whatsoever” you do (Psalm 1:3). That’s enough to make you jump, shout, dance, flip… ok.. at least smile

… Be strong.. Be tenacious.. hold onto your faith. When we keep Jesus as our focus, we see everything else from a different perspective.

Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

The Armor of God Prayer

Father God I thank you for my Helmet of SalvationI know that I am saved, and being sanctified daily I have the mind of Christ by faith, which is constantly being renewed

You have placed on me the Breastplate of Righteousness that protects and shields my heart

I strap on the Girdle of Truth that protects my purity before You

My feet are shod with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace and that every place the soles of my feet go, peace will be in the midst

I have my Shield of Faith in place that quenches every fiery dart of the wicked one and he touches me not Your Word says that the just shall live by his (or her) faith

Firmly in my grasp is the Sword of the Spirit (the Word of God)hich I have hidden in my heart that I sin not against You

I pray always with all supplication with thanksgiving

I am surrounded by a host of angels that bear me up in their hands lest I dash my foot against a stone

Goodness and Mercy follow me all the days of my life

The Holy Ghost (my Comforter) dwells in me leading and guiding me into all Truth

I thank you that not only is Jesus my Lord, Savior and King, but my Friend, who sits on the right hand of my Heavenly Father praying and interceding for me constantly

Father I love You and praise You that You loved me so much that You gave Your only Son for for me and made me a joint-heir with Him. WOW!

All Glory, Honor and Praise is Yours, You are so amazing, no words can really adequately describe Your Magnificence. I Love You, I Bless You with everything in me.

IN JESUS NAME….. AMEN

When JESUS returned to Capernaum several days later, the news spread quickly that He was back home. Soon the house where He was staying was so packed with visitors that there was no more room, even outside the door. While He was preaching GOD’s Word to them, four men arrived carrying a paralyzed man on a mat. They couldn’t bring him to JESUS because of the crowd, so they dug a hole through the roof above His head. Then they lowered the man on his mat, right down in front of JESUS. Seeing their faith, JESUS said to the paralyzed man, “My child, your sins are forgiven.” But some of the teachers of religious law who were sitting there thought to themselves, “What is He saying? This is blasphemy! Only GOD can forgive sins!” JESUS knew immediately what they were thinking, so He asked them, “Why do you question this in your hearts? Is it easier to say to the paralyzed man ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or ‘Stand up, pick up your mat, and walk’? So I will prove to you that the SON of Man has the authority on earth to forgive sins.” Then JESUS turned to the paralyzed man and said, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and go home!“ And the man jumped up, grabbed his mat, and walked out through the stunned onlookers. They were all amazed and praised GOD, exclaiming, “We’ve never seen anything like this before!”

Good Morning Beloved,

This event never ceases to intrigue me. I am fascinated by the care and persistence of these four men. They risked their own personal safety and well-being, in order for a man to get a chance to receive his healing. After all, they dug a hole in someones roof… that wasn’t their house! I’m sure that they were breaking some sort of law. It didn’t stop them. This man must have been very special to them. All through the scriptures we see people who went after Jesus with passion and determination. The woman with the issue of blood, the Centurion whose servant was dying, the Ruler of the Synagogue whose daughter was dying, the man whose son had a dumb spirit, the Canaanite woman whose daughter was possessed by an evil spirit. These folks, and many others did not have time to be cute. They were not shy in making their requests. They had tried other means, and nothing else had worked. They were desperate, and desperation cancelled all reticence. They did not have the benefit of the knowledge of the Lordship of Jesus that we have today. All they knew was, there was a Man who was going around doing miracles. Some were saying that He was the Messiah. The Canaanite woman was not even of the House of Israel, and therefore was not an heir to the promise [Matthew 15:22-28]. That did not stop her. Even after what seems to be a humiliating confrontation with Jesus, she is undaunted. She needed help, and she would not be denied. She shook off embarrassment, and pleaded for her child’s deliverance.. and got it. Thankfully, we, as members of the family of the Royal House of Heaven, do not need to beg and plead for anything from God. The Word tells us that it is the Father’s great pleasure to bless His children… in due season. We need only “ask”. He knows when. He tells us to come to Him. His desire is fellowship. He knows all, yet He wants to hear from us. He is never too busy. We don’t have to wait until we have some huge catastrophe in our life. Every day is an opportunity for us to get to know Him a little bit better than we did the day before. I was talking to a good friend whose sister got a Rhema Word in her spirit that really excited her.. and blessed me. So simple and yet so profound. She said that “she knew how God could be everywhere at the same time. that when He breathed the breath of life into humanity, He deposited a ‘piece’ of Himself in us”. So true. We are the only living beings on earth made in the image and after the likeness of God. The only ones that He breathed life into. He created the animals, birds and fish alive, but He went one step further after He created Adam. We have access to places nothing else can enter. Prayer is not a duty or a burden… it is a great privilege. We’ve been invited to press into the heart of God!
