The Smell of Love :0)
Written by FAVORED1 on April 9, 2009 – 3:03 pm -Thursday, April 9, 2009
Be you therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savor.
Ephesians 5:1-2
“The Smell of Love”
Good Afternoon Beloved,
If love had a scent, what would it smell like. Sweet, but not overpowering… strong, but not annoying maybe. Fragrant. This Sunday is Resurrection Sunday. I can’t help but to think even more heavily than usual of the day it represents. Something powerful happens when the people of God get on one accord. Can you imagine… millions of believers all of the world celebrating our God and blessing Him for His atoning sacrifice on the same day. Millions of us believing God for the hearts that are softened during this season… our new brothers and sisters that are about to be birthed into the Kingdom of God. Now that is a scent I believe our Heavenly Father will relish in. It is so exciting. When I think of how much God loved us. That He would send His only Begotten Son to be tortured by cruel men, and that He would ultimately end up dying on a rugged cross for you and me. Even when we were not thinking about Him, we were on His mind. He knew the penalty for our sin, and He made a way for our debt to be completely wipe away. No wonder there is no salvation in any other. Jesus was completely innocent, yet He willingly suffered all that He did, because He knew what horrors awaited us if He didn’t. God sent His very best, and if the second person in the Trinity… the sinless, spotless Lamb of God, The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords isn’t ‘good enough’ for some people… they have determined their own fate. There is no hope for those who belittle, mock and reject God’s Gift of Love, but for those who have accepted it, we have a treasure that we will not fully understand … until we stand before Him at His Throne…
…. and that Beloved is Good News!
U Blessed!
Have A Fabulous Evening!

Changing Smells.. :-O)
Written by FAVORED1 on October 17, 2008 – 9:27 am -Friday, October 17, 2008
Good Morning Beloved,
Happy Friday!
We’re hearing a lot about change lately……. change takes some getting used to, however change can be not only good, but vital to our growth, well being and development. The most crucial change is accepting God’s love gift and allowing Him to change us from the inside out. We are to be reflections of God… we are after all made in His image and after His likeness. The closer we get to God, the more of His fragrance we take on…. like hugging someone that smells really good…it sticks to you right? In the same way, if we get too close to something that stinks…. we’ll stink too. Having said that, God is able to take stinky situations, use them for His Glory and make something sweet come out of them.
…. and that is Good News!
Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing.
U Blessed
Have A Fabulous Day and a Wonderful Weekend!

My cousin Diane sent this email to me and it really spoke to me:
STOP!
Stop what you are doing right now, and give God some Praise for what He’s already done!
I’m Praising Him with ya!
Oh Lord, help me not to cuss anybody out today
Freeze my tongue, if somebody gets in my way
Fill me with Your grace, so that I might stay cool
I‘m trying to do right, but I ain’t nobody’s fool
Cause me to humble myself, before I get fired
Even a saint like me sometimes gets tired
Praise your name, because You’ve saved me, many times before
All Mighty One, You know I need You close
Inspire me to be kind, and enouraging to most
Show me how to be an example of Your love, not hate
Even me Lord, I hope it’s not too late
Live in such a way that those who know you but don’t know God, will come to know God because they know you

Cartoonist’s Comment:
Jesus said in John 6:36 “I am the bread of life”. It is up to the believers to take the Bread of Life (Jesus) out of the Bakery (the church building), to where the hungry people are. After eating “Satan’s Garbage”, the aroma of the Bread of Life will certainly smell good.

Something Stinks In Here! :)
Written by FAVORED1 on September 25, 2008 – 9:06 am -Thursday, September 25, 2008
But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odor of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well pleasing to God.
(Philippians 4:18)
! LOL! As I write, my face is a few inches away from a borrowed desk fan. It is 10:52 am. At 7:30 this morning my co-worker burned her muffin in the microwave. The smoke that filled the office earlier, is now gone, but unfortunately for us, (and everyone else on the floor) the smell isn’t. Everyone who steps off of the elevator is assaulted by the aroma of “something” burnt. Most have no idea what happened, or even where it is coming from. Smells are funny that way. I am thankful though, it could have been much worse, and way more inconvenient. It was not enough to set of the smoke alarm (Yea!!!) which would have caused the whole building to evacuate. Isn’t that something? One person’s innocent mistake could have put a cramp (or worse) in everyone’s day. Coming in the office this morning, I was meditating on being sweet. My prayer was for God to ‘sweeten’ me, so that I could be sweet to others today. The incident this morning was a great illustration. Attitudes are like smells. A bad attitude can literally be felt or ‘smelt’ all over the place. Most people won’t even know where it came from, they just know that ‘something stinks’ and if they are not aware, they can fall into the same ‘crabby’ trap. A great attitude works in the reverse. It sets the tone for a better day, and ‘sweetens’ the atmosphere. For example… the bathroom on our floor. It used to smell terrible, like bad plumbing, then someone had the brilliant idea of installing Airwick X-Press (a shameless plug, they can have for free!). What a tremendous difference. The air in there is so sweet, we no longer dread our visit to the ladies’ room (the topic of many conversations). Let us continually ask for a sweetened spirit, and a refreshing disposition, that will reflect the true character and nature of our wonderful Heavenly Father
. It is in us… we just need to release it.
