All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the Heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.  Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes.  God decided in advance to adopt us into His own Family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure.  So we praise God for the glorious grace He has poured out on us who belong to His dear Son.  He is so rich in kindness and grace that He purchased our freedom with the blood of His Son and forgave our sins.  He has showered His kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.  God has now revealed to us His mysterious plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill His own good pleasure.  And this is the plan: At the right time He will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth. Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for He chose us in advance, and He makes everything work out according to His plan.

[Ephesians 1:3-11]

MY GOD…

Good Afternoon Beloved,

HAPPY FRIDAY! …AWWWW… I gotta do it.. gotta break out praisin’ Morris!  What an absolutely amazingly beautiful day!  I’m lovin’ the weather, but even more, I’m lovin’ what God is doing in me!  He is just so good to me.  In all my phases, facets, moods, temperatures.. glorious and inglorious.. He is just too beautiful for words!  I feel refreshed and invigorated.  I bless God for His bountiful blessings, that He has poured on me.  I wish I could properly articulate what I’m feeling right now as I listen to Trent Cory singing about the awesomeness of God.  I had never heard of this powerful worshipper before last night.  I was asked to sing with a choir in another branch of Zion.  The song selections were phenomenal.  I went to help out and to be a blessing, and I was the one blessed!

My God knows just what we need, exactly when we need it.  Lest we forget, we are children of the most high God engaged in a spiritual battle for the children of man.  The battle can get hot at times.  We may feel as though we’re on the front line, but even front-liners are given reprieves and pulled back to recuperate.  If we are constantly “giving out” without replenishing ourselves, we leave ourselves open and vulnerable for attack… from within as well as without.  Spiritual blessings… basically God touching us in places no human hand could ever reach… He chose us… He showered His blessing on us… He forgave us … He has a plan for us… He gave us an inheritance and He will bring everything together… Whoa! … As the psalmist, brother Cory said so beautifully… oh what a wonder You are God!

… and that Beloved is Good News!

Y Stress? … U Blessed!

Have A Fabulous Day and a Wonderful Weekend!

Do it big for Daddy!

O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusts in Him.

[Psalm 34:8]

“ummmm-ummm GOOD”

Good Afternoon Beloved,

Ever wonder why some of the most delicious foods are bad for you?  Even some of our healthy treats have been recently under attack (remember the tainted pistachios and peanuts?).  I read an article not too long ago warning of the danger of drinking too much water!  It leads our heart to wonder, “well, what can we eat and drink?”.  I’ve decided to take heed to the warnings, and pray over everything that goes into my mouth.  Food is a subject that the bible has a lot to say about.  It seemed to be a central theme in much of the ‘happenings’ in biblical times.  Wedding feasts, passover feasts, ‘we have a guest in our home’ feasts … there seemed to be a feast for just about every occasion.  Those folks loved to eat!  Sounds like us.  Think of how many of our holidays are centered around food… Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Easter, Memorial Day, Forth of July etc. etc.   Even in the business world, food has become a major selling point for many a meeting.  A question I’m hearing more and more, “is there gonna be food?” .  Many of us are learning healthier ways to cook and eat and that is really good.  The thing is that no matter how healthy, if it isn’t appetizing, chances are it won’t be eaten.  Our family is on a lower sodium diet.  It just makes sense.  If one member of the family can’t eat certain foods, we modify our dinners accordingly.  The change was so natural, and the foods taste so good that we don’t even notice what is missing.  The funny thing is, that when we eat out, we notice the difference and things taste really salty at times.  They didn’t add more… we are the ones who changed.  Hey, tastes change.  I remember my mother telling me when I was a kid, that one day I wouldn’t be so crazy about candy… she was right.  Now, I can take it or leave it.  The one flavor that actually gets sweeter with time is Jesus.  The closer we get to Him the sweeter He gets.  The better we know Him, the more we understand His ways.  We can smell His aroma through the pages of scripture.  Each book gives us a different view of the same Savior…

Holy Bible: Genuine Soul Food

Good Morning Beloved,

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. [Hebrews 11:1]

My pastor often tells a story, about his two daughters when they were little.  He could tell them before Sunday morning service, that he was going to take them to 7-Eleven for Slurpee’s after church.  Angel was about 4, Genesis was about 2 or 3.  They would begin to dance and sing, “We’re going to the Slurpee store!.. We’re going get Slurpee’s!! “.  Angel would come up to me and say,“Ms. Regina, my daddy gonna buy me a Slurpee!” They were excited…for something that had not even happened.  Why?… because their daddy promised it to them, and they had faith that what daddy said… daddy would do… hmmmm…. the same is even more true for our Heavenly Daddy.  See, what those precious babies did not know, was that their family was struggling financially.  There was much going on.  The trip to the “Slurpee” store was a sacrifice, that could be cancelled, if it came a choice between gas to get home, and their Slurpee’s.  Our Heavenly Father is quite different though.  As a matter of fact, “the earth is the LORD’s, and the fullness thereof [1 Corinthians 10:26]“…. no danger of God ever being in the position of being “all tapped out”.  He is Creator, and He has promised you a lot more than a Slurpee… but if that’s all you want, He can give you that…. according to your faith (as long as it not something illegal, immoral or un-Godly)…. so be it.  The possibilities are endless. .. every now and then, we need a reminder that Jesus is sweeter than honey in the honeycomb!

How sweet are Your words (‘Oh LORD’) to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth! [Psalm 119:103]

Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. [Proverbs 16:24 ]

….. such good news!

U Blessed
