And the LORD God called to Adam, and said to him, Where are you?

 [Genesis 3:9]

“Here I am Jesus!”

Good Afternoon Beloved,

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Where are you?  No. I’m not talking about your physical location.  Where are you spiritually?  Do you know?  Have you stopped to think about it?  The Bible says that we are seated together with Christ in Heavenly places.  At times we need a little friendly reminder.  Hectic daily living can block our view of the Cross and the Throne.  The Cross where Jesus died for us, and the Throne where He is at this moment.  We also carry His spirit, so where He is, there we are.  To the non-believer (and some saints!) it can be confusing.  How can He be here and there?  Simple.  He is God.  That answer unsettles the analytical thinker.  They won’t believe what can’t be scientifically proven to them.  Fact and stats.  I know of some great Christian scholars who can go toe to toe with any of the “learned”. It is fascinating to watch them.  However, all the facts in the world will not convince some people of certain things.  It will all boil down to whether or not they will believe God is who He said He is, did what He said He did and whether or not they will heed what He told them to do.  Faith.  Where is our faith?  Is it in the daily news or the Word of God.  Once our foundation is shored up on the Rock of our salvation, whatever comes, we will be able to stand tall, wave our hands and say… “Here I am Jesus!  What’s next? … let’s go!”

… and that Beloved is Good News!

Y Stress? … U Blessed!
Have A Fabulous Day and a Wonderful Weekend!

We’re Never At a Higher Place .. Then When We’re At Jesus Feet!

And great multitudes came unto Him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and He healed them..
Matthew 15:30

And as they (the two Mary’s) went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held Him by the feet, and worshipped Him.

Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
Luke 8:35

And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue : and he fell down at Jesus’ feet, and besought Him that He would come into his house:
Luke 8:41

And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard His Word.

We’re Never At a Higher Place …Then When We’re At Jesus Feet!

Good Afternoon Beloved,

Just thinking about the the love of Jesus!  While He walked planet earth, we get a glimpse of His character.  His love for His creations.  No one was ever too ‘lowly’ to warrant His attention.  Beggars, lepers, synagogue rulers, it didn’t matter to Jesus.  He didn’t scold these people for their condition, He simply helped them.  He didn’t fuss at Mary and Martha for daring to question Him.  He understood their grief and anguish.  He blessed people.  He healed them.  They all had one thing in common though.. they all worshipped Him.  They humbled themselves and worshipped Him.  Interestingly enough, there was no one around to brow-beat them into worshipping Him.  Of their own free will and volition, the fell at His feet and worshipped Him.  They recognized His power.. His authority.  I must confess that one of my “pet peeves” is the anger-laced ‘STAND ON YOUR FEET AND PRAISE GOD!!!!’  ‘WORSHIP GOD’!!!!  ‘HE’S BEEN TOO GOOD FOR YOU TO SIT DOWN ON HIM’!!!!!!! [-( not talking…. can I tell you.. just between you and me… that really grates my nerves.  MY WORSHIP IS NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS!8-| rolling eyes Whew! … wooooo-saaaa… OK…. Personally, I think it is an insult to God to do that.  He is so awesome, no one should be MADE to worship and praise Him.  Also, how does that person know the poor saint in the pew is not worshipping and praising God .. in their way?  I used to go to clubs and I was the person in corner bopping my head to the music.  When I did go out on the dance floor, I was still quite reserved in my moves;;) batting eyelashes.  Now, there were people on the floor who were the ‘life of the party’.  They were quite entertaining.  I never had a problem with them ‘doing them’.  Both of us enjoyed the music and were having a good time. Some people are just more demonstrative than others.  The person who is quietly “sitting at Jesus feet”, loves Jesus just as much as the person who is jumping, screaming, dancing and running around the sanctuary.  They could be engrossed in a lovely conversation with the King of Kings, and someone comes along, snatching them out of their revelry and commands them to act … like them.  Jesus has a huge family. He loves all of us.  We are not to make disciples of each other … we are to make disciples of Jesus! You “ain’t gotta be like me”… and I “ain’t gotta be like you”.. if it ain’t SIN.. its ALL GOOD! :) … My God.. let people be what HE wants them to be.  When we are seated at Jesus’ feet, we are actually “seated in Heavenly places with Christ Jesus”.  It is a place where we are at complete peace.  Where we receive the Spirits’ wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.  Where we are filled to over-flowing with whatever we need… deliverance, peace, patience, grace, mercy, trust, love…. etc…. etc.. etc…:D big grin

…. and Beloved that is Good News!

Ready?

Good Morning Beloved,

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!MySpaceGraphicsandAnimations.org

There is a lot of talk going around about the folks that have predicted that the end of the world will be Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 6:00pm.  What should the posture of the balanced child of the Most High God be?  I submit to you that it should not change our posture at all.  We should live in daily expectation that our Lord could come at any moment “Be ye ever so ready”, and also prepare, occupy and dominate as if He won’t be here for another 2000 years (of course WE won’t be here.. but you get my meaning).  We really don’t know when HE is coming.  We don’t know when WE are going to meet Him, but in either case, as long as we are READY… does it matter?  The fact is that for somebody, their world will end on Saturday… with no advanced notice.  Every day someone makes their transition into eternity.  For the saint of the Most High, it is a cause for celebration.  They have suffered all that they will ever suffer.

“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 5:8)

Discussions are taking place all over, and that is good.  It is an opportunity to share our faith and to search ourselves (which we should do everyday) to make sure that we are on the right path, and in right standing with our God.

For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
[1 Corinthians 11:31]

Apart from Him there is no salvation.  Those of us who have Jesus, have it all, and need not fear or allow anxiety to grip our heart.

We are safe in His care whether we are here or there!

…. and THAT Beloved Saint of the Most High God.. is GOOD NEWS!

Peace = Trusting The Lord…HALLELUJAH!!!

[Proverbs 3:5-6]

Peace = Trusting The Lord

HALLELUJAH!!

Good Morning Beloved,

HAPPY FRIDAY! …AWWWW… gotta break out praisin’ Morris!

What a beautiful day!

I’ve been ”out-of-pocket” for a few days.  I was able to fulfill a lifelong dream on Saturday.  I had a laser procedure (PRK) done on my eyes.  I’ve had very poor vision for as long as I can remember.  I can remember when the procedure first started gaining popularity.  I determined to watch it a few years, while they worked out the “bugs and the kinks”.  I was really fearful.  God encouraged me to put my trust… and my eyes in His Hands… not the doctors.  Isn’t it funny how we can say that we trust God, until it comes to something as valuable to us as our sight.  Actually, trust without risk is really not true trust at all.  Trust involves risk.  Faith in its purest form, is like the faith of a child.  When I was a child, I never worried about whether or not I would eat or have what I needed.  It just happened. My mother tells the story of me saying to her “I know you don’t have much money, but you have a credit card”.  Clueless.  I had faith in her that she had whatever I needed.  I didn’t know where it came from.  That involved a risk I knew nothing about.  There are parents who are destitute.  Financially, spiritually or morally bankrupt.  Children are abused and neglected every day.  I bless God for my mother and grandmother because my life would have been so much different if they had been unable to care for me.  The Bible tells us to trust in the Lord with all of our heart and not to lean, or depend on our own understanding, but in all of our ways to acknowledge Him, to put Him “all up in it”, and He shall direct our path.  What a promise!  God LOVES it when we trust Him.  He’s a big God, and He wants us to trust Him enough to allow Him to do “Big” things through us.  If we are not “prayerful”, we fall into a common misconception that God is going to do everything “for us”, when in reality, His plan is to work His will “through” us.  There are some areas in our life where we are waiting on God to move.. and God is waiting on us.  He has given us everything we need. Many of us have been in church most of our lives and we know the Word of God, which is His Will.  Some of us start. Stop. Start again. God is looking for consistency in us.  He is looking for someone in whom He can show Himself strong in… can you join with me in saying.. “Here I am Jesus!”

Change is HERE! :)

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
[Jeremiah 29:11]

Good Afternoon Beloved,

HAPPY MONDAY!

My mother says many profound things.  One statement she made, has stuck with me for years.  She said, that even when the children of Israel made it to the promised land, they still had to fight.  They went through 40 years in the wilderness, and when they reached the destination, much to their dismay… there were GIANTS in the land.  Can you imagine their disappointment?  They must have thought that life would be a piece of cake after what they had gone through.  Finally, they could stop moving, “chill”, put down roots in a fertile land, and live happily ever after. No matter what they faced in their new “spot”, the fact still remained that they were IN THE PROMISED LAND.  The land that Almighty God gave them.  Fear almost robbed them of taking possession of it.  Isn’t that like us at times?  God is not going to make everything we are to obtain “easy” for us.  His yoke is easy, His burden is light, but sometimes we need to stretch our spiritual “muscles”. If God handed us everything on a silver platter, we would become weak, spoiled, self-centered and self-indulgent.  We would develop a sense of entitlement and the slightest ripple in our life would send us into a tail-spin.  God is not raising “wimps” … He is raising children who are strong.  Strong in spirit, strong in character, strong in wisdom, strong in their love and compassion toward all of God’s creations.  So, if you’re wondering where is the promise of God and why hasn’t it manifested in your life, stop to consider that maybe it already has.  Take a look around and see the wonderful works of God in and through your life.  There really is no such thing as a ‘little Blessing from God’.  From bus fare to a new job, every blessing is a major deal.  Prospective.  How are we looking at what is in our hand.  There is always another way of looking at a situation.  Positive or negative.  We get to choose.  The thing can be really negative.  Say a spouse walks out on you, or you lose a job.  The positive is that you have the chance for a brand new life and a fresh new start.  The possibilities are endless.  Or, what if someone near and dear to your heart goes on to be with the Lord.  Yes, it hurts.  We miss them.  A void is left in our life, and if it happens suddenly, we may not know what to do.  The day will come, when you’ll be able to think about that person and all that they meant to you, all they taught you and bless God for the time you had with them.  You’ll remember things they said, that spoke into your life and helped to propel you where you are.  You’ll also remember that God got you and you’re gonna be alright!’.  You will get through this.. victorious.  It can also serve as a reminder that, maybe it is time for YOU to be to someone else, what that person was to you.  Our journey may be seem as tumultuous as the Israelites.  Guess what?  We are under a sweeter deal.

Remember~

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new
[2 Corinthians 5:17]

 new… change.. breathe and..hold on~

CELEBRATE!!!!

Good Morning Beloved,

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!  There is a lot of excitement in the air today.  It is a day of holiday celebration here at my office.  The whole office has been completely transformed into a winter wonderland.  Great care and planning has gone into it.  It is beautiful and festive.  What is interesting to me is watching the reactions of my co-workers.  It is amazing how a few lights, and food can bring so much happiness.   They are “happy”  because of what is “happening”.  As believers, we have an even better deal.  We’ve been given “joy”.  As with any gift we can choose to use it, or pack it away.  No matter what we “feel” like… we have it.  No matter what is going on, think about the verse above.  The Bible tells us in all things to give God praise.  Praise Him for who He is, not for what is going on.  I love days like today.  When people are happy, plans are coming together, and the mood is light.  I really appreciate them.  Simple pleasure is a beautiful thing.  As nice as it is here today, I know that not everyone is having a whoo-hoo day.. for some it may be more like a woooo-saaaa day.   Be encouraged.  In us is a power that contains reserves of strength we have barely tapped into.  The power of our Heavenly Father.  He promised to be with us until the “end of the age” … so we’re never alone.  He is our hope, so we are never hopeless.  He’s our friend so we are never “friendless”.  He is our comfort, our peace and we lack nothing in Him.  He will supply all of our need according to HIS riches in Glory.  He is the sustainer of our life.  The saddest thing to me, especially during this beautiful season, is how many suicides occur each year.  People who feel that their only option is to take their own life.  One man, whose father has been the subject of public humiliation and outrage, killed himself, literally steps away from his sleeping 2 year-old son!  Sadly, Christians are not immune from depression and suicidal thoughts.  Some battle clinical depression… some are bi-polar.  The brain can malfunction like any other part of the body.  Some are dealing with horrific loss… BUT GOD… through it all, good and bad He never changes.  He is always with us… “Emmanuel”…

Push Thru It! ;)

Written by FAVORED1 on December 1, 2010 – 10:57 am -

I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me.  No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the Heavenly Prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

[Philippians 3:12-14]

“Push Thru It…”

Good Morning Beloved,

Press.. persevere… push…  Life is full of twists and turns. We never know what is around the next corner.  Blessings or hardship either way, most of us find ourselves unprepared for what lies ahead.  That is why we are encouraged to fix our eyes towards the hills from where our help comes from, guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus, and hide the Word of God in our hearts.  We are never “prepared” for the death of a loved one, or loss of any kind.  On the flip side, we will always be awed by the great blessings of God, no matter how long we have waited and prepared for it.  We go to school, practice, work and study, but when God elevates us ..well.. maybe not you, but speaking for myself, I am still overwhelmed.  God’s gives us the vision, and He will provide the “provision”.  He will show us the end of the thing, but never the “middle”. Remember when Jesus told the disciples that they were going to the “other side“.  What He did not tell them (and I’m sure He knew), was that a great storm was going to arise.  Some of them were fisherman.  Tough, strong men who were used to all of the conditions of the seas.  I’m pretty sure they didn’t scare easily, so this must have been one heck of a storm.  Jesus, didn’t tell them.  He wanted them to trust the Word that He had spoken to them.  His last Word to them was that they were “going to the other side”.  What is the last Word God gave you? .. What is the last assignment He gave to you?  Opposition will come.  The enemy will try to confuse, mislead and discourage you all along the way.  Our vision may get a  little cloudy from time to time… glasses a little foggy.  Clean them with the Living Water of God’s Word.  Remember that the enemy of our soul is a liar and he’s headed to the fire.  He wants to take as many with him as he can.  Our purpose is to allow God to work through us, and snatch them from his grip.  This is why we have no time for petty jealousies, junk and mess “isms and skisms” in the body.  There are too many people perishing, while folks are jocking for position, tripping off of whether women should preach, and whether they should wear make-up and pants, or whether or not Kirk Franklin is anointed by God to do what he does.  Our God-given assignment is to point them to the saving mercies of the cross.  To preach the Good News .. the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.  To tell the perishing that God is Alive, and He loves them, by using whatever gift, talent or skill set God has blessed us with.  Sometimes we have to push past some things.  Push past the “naysayers”, push past the negativity, push past the hurt of our past, push past our current financial state, push past our feelings, push past what people will think .. and just do it.

“…and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

[Philippians 4:7]

JOY…. for everyone! :)

Written by FAVORED1 on September 24, 2010 – 6:31 am -

Holy Bible: Genuine Soul Food

Friday, September 24, 2010

Joyful are those who obey His laws and search for Him with all their hearts.

Psalm 119:2

We were filled with laughter, and we sang for joy.  And the other nations said,“What amazing things the Lord has done for them.” Yes, the Lord has done amazing things for us! What joy!
Psalm 126:2-3

Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.

Psalm 126:5

How joyful are those who fear the Lord—all who follow His ways!

Psalm 128:1

[ A song for pilgrims ascending to Jerusalem. ]

You will enjoy the fruit of your labor.  How joyful and prosperous you will be!
Psalm 128:2

Yes, joyful are those who live like this! Joyful indeed are those whose God is the Lord.
Psalm 144:15

In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents.”

Luke 15:10

I tell you the truth, you will weep and mourn over what is going to happen to me, but the world will rejoice. You will grieve, but your grief will suddenly turn to wonderful joy.  It will be like a woman suffering the pains of labor. When her child is born, her anguish gives way to joy because she has brought a new baby into the world. So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again; then you will rejoice, and no one can rob you of that joy.
John 16:22-20

You haven’t done this before. Ask, using My name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.
John 16:24

“Now I am coming to you. I told them many things while I was with them in this world so they would be filled with My joy.
John 17:13

As He spoke, He showed them the wounds in His hands and His side. They were filled with joy when they saw the Lord!
John 20:20

You have shown me the way of life, and You will fill me with the joy of Your presence.’

[ Ps 16:8-11 (Greek version).]

Acts 2:28

JOY!… for everyone!

Good Morning Beloved,

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!! see a pattern?  Joy.  It does for us what a jump does for a worn battery.  It infuses and strengthens us.  It gives us the ability to lighten up and not allow circumstances to oppress, depress and suppress us.  The Bible tells us to “lay aside every weight and the sin that does so easily beset us” [Hebrews 12:1].  That means that we have some “skin in the game” as my mentor Lucille Price used to tell us.  We have a choice.  We can choose this day to receive the “Joy of the Lord” .. our strength … or we can receive the report of the evil one… whatever he said.  You know, I’ve often wondered about that elusive group of folks called “They”.  ‘They’ always seem to have something negative to say. ‘They’ constantly speak death, destruction, and poverty.  ‘They’ infuse feelings of inferiority and insecurity causing people to view others with suspicion and sometimes hatred.  ‘They’ promulgate fear (‘prom·ul·gate’ ~to set forth or teach publicly ..a creed, doctrine, etc.).  ‘They may or may not know what ‘they’ are doing.  Who are “They”?  I don’t know, but I suspect if we look behind the scenes real good, we’ll see a lil fella who used to reside in the heavenlies.  The one who used to have “every precious stone as his covering”.  The one who had the honor of being called “anointed cherub”, beautiful,“covering cherub”, “wise”,“bright”.  Had it all… lost it all.  We have been given a place in the heart of God that He never had, and he is determined to destroy us because of it.  That is the reason every human child is born with an enemy.. but we were also born with a Champion.  A Champion who awaits our decision to allow Him to take the lead role over our life.  We have a “joy that is unspeakable” that “they” will never understand… unless they get it too (which they can!).  Those who have been deceived into thinking that serving the darkness will gain them power and favor have made a terrible mistake, but here’s the thing…  the blood that Jesus shed on Calvary is just as potent to atone for their sin and it was for ours.

… and that Beloved is Good News!

Y Stress? … U Blessed!

Have A Fabulous Day and a Wonderful Holiday Weekend!

MY GOD…

Holy Bible: Genuine Soul Food

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the Heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.  Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes.  God decided in advance to adopt us into His own Family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure.  So we praise God for the glorious grace He has poured out on us who belong to His dear Son.  He is so rich in kindness and grace that He purchased our freedom with the blood of His Son and forgave our sins.  He has showered His kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.  God has now revealed to us His mysterious plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill His own good pleasure.  And this is the plan: At the right time He will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth. Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for He chose us in advance, and He makes everything work out according to His plan.

[Ephesians 1:3-11]

MY GOD…

Good Afternoon Beloved,

HAPPY FRIDAY! …AWWWW… I gotta do it.. gotta break out praisin’ Morris!  What an absolutely amazingly beautiful day!  I’m lovin’ the weather, but even more, I’m lovin’ what God is doing in me!  He is just so good to me.  In all my phases, facets, moods, temperatures.. glorious and inglorious.. He is just too beautiful for words!  I feel refreshed and invigorated.  I bless God for His bountiful blessings, that He has poured on me.  I wish I could properly articulate what I’m feeling right now as I listen to Trent Cory singing about the awesomeness of God.  I had never heard of this powerful worshipper before last night.  I was asked to sing with a choir in another branch of Zion.  The song selections were phenomenal.  I went to help out and to be a blessing, and I was the one blessed!

My God knows just what we need, exactly when we need it.  Lest we forget, we are children of the most high God engaged in a spiritual battle for the children of man.  The battle can get hot at times.  We may feel as though we’re on the front line, but even front-liners are given reprieves and pulled back to recuperate.  If we are constantly “giving out” without replenishing ourselves, we leave ourselves open and vulnerable for attack… from within as well as without.  Spiritual blessings… basically God touching us in places no human hand could ever reach… He chose us… He showered His blessing on us… He forgave us … He has a plan for us… He gave us an inheritance and He will bring everything together… Whoa! … As the psalmist, brother Cory said so beautifully… oh what a wonder You are God!

… and that Beloved is Good News!

Dancin’ With God! :0)

GOD’s thunder sets the oak trees dancing
A wild dance, whirling; the pelting rain strips their branches.
We fall to our knees—we call out, “Glory!”

Above the floodwaters is GOD’s throne
      from which His power flows,
from which He rules the world.

   GOD makes His people strong.
   GOD gives His people peace.

[Psalm 29:9-11]

Good Evening Beloved,

Sorry for the lateness — had all sorts of meetings today.  Just wanted to touch base and quickly say that GOD IS GOOD!  He is gracious and all together lovely!  I love this verse.  Man!  God is so great, the trees are dancing! Even as their “branches are being stripped” they are saying “Glory!”  WOW.  That reminds me of us.  Praise is not only beautiful in the sight of God, it rejuvenates us.  Worship brings us closer to the heart beat of God… Praise allows us to dance with God…. (ummph … pause).  Dance with God.  It stands to reason if God sings over us as stated in Zephaniah, that He can dance with us as well.  That floors me.  He is great.  Admittedly, we tend to overuse that word, but when we pause to really ponder on the wonders of God… words become almost inadequate and we do the best that we can.  He makes His people strong… meaning if you feel weak, not a problem.. He can MAKE you strong.  For those who are going through all sorts of turmoil… He will give you peace in it and bring you through it.  For those who are experiencing a season of abundance, and material prosperity, He will also give you peace so that you can not only enjoy it, but have the wisdom with it.

… and THAT Beloved of God… is Good News!

Y Stress? … U Blessed!

Have A Fabulous Evening and a Wonderful Weekend
