PURPOSE & PLACEMENT

Good Morning Beloved,

It is an absolutely beautiful morning!  Hope you have a tremendously blessed day.  You know, I’ve been really meditating on purpose and placement.  Walking in the purpose God had in mind when He created me… God has never designed anything that did not have a specific purpose.  Sometimes we can be in a situation… miserable, and not understand, that the reason we are unfulfilled, is that we are not in the right place.  Even worse, we can become perfectly comfortable and content in a place God never intended for us to stay.  I remember my first pet – a mallard duck named “Boo”.  He was the cutest little thing.  My grandmother bought him for me at the little country store “Snells”, where she purchased  “chicken feed” for her chickens.  Boo was so tiny, he could fit in the palm of my hand.  I raised him in a box, in the house.  I’d take him outside with me for exercise, and he spent most of his time walking free in the house, watching television, and sleeping on my feet.  The problem… Boo did not know he was a duck.  He never saw another like himself… he patterned his life after what he saw.. the people, the chickens, the cat and the dog.  None of us flew, so he didn’t fly.  None of us swam, so he didn’t swim.  As a matter of fact, when I put him in a make-shift pool.. he jumped out, shaking his feet and quacking his disapproval.  The closest he came to flying was when I tried to leave him and run to the mailbox (it was close to the road, and I didn’t want him to get hurt).  He saw me and started running after me, as fast as he could, flapping his wings.  He only got about a foot off the ground, and I don’t think he even noticed.  I had that duck for 10 years.  He brought a lot of joy into my life, but he died never realizing who he really was.  I don’t want that to be the end of my story.  I want to fulfill my purpose and finish my mission.

Remember the former things, those of long ago;
I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like Me.

I make known the end from the beginning,
from ancient times, what is still to come.
I say: My purpose will stand,
and I will do all that I please.

From the east I summon a bird of prey;
from a far-off land, a man to fulfill My purpose.
What I have said, that will I bring about;
what I have planned, that will I do.

Cartoonist’s Comment:

If we offer ourselves in service to the Lord, He already knows just the right place we are best suited for.

U BLESSED

Have A Fabulous Day!
