My Redeemer…
Written by FAVORED1 on January 14, 2010 – 2:58 pm -Thursday, January 14, 2010
Teach me Your ways, O LORD, that I may live according to Your Truth! Grant me purity of heart, so that I may honor You. With all my heart I will praise You, O LORD my GOD. I will give glory to Your name forever, for Your love for me is very great. You have rescued me from the depths of death.
[Psalm 86:11-13 New Living Translation]
*******
Train me, GOD, to walk straight;
then I’ll follow Your true path.
Put me together, one heart and mind;
then, undivided, I’ll worship in joyful fear.
From the bottom of my heart I thank You, dear LORD;
I’ve never kept secret what You’re up to.
You’ve always been great toward me—what love!
You snatched me from the brink of disaster!
[Psalm 86:11-13 The Message Bible]
My Redeemer …
Good Afternoon Beloved,
Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.Perfect submission, perfect delight,
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
Angels descending bring from above,
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.Perfect submission, all is at rest,
I in my Savior am happy and blest;
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with His goodness lost in His love.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.
“Blessed Assurance” Fanny J. Crosby, 1873 Phoebe P. Knapp, 1873
One of the greatest human love stories’ in the bible is the story of Ruth and Boaz. I’ve mentioned them before. A woman from a pagan culture that practiced child-sacrifice among other things, leaves her land to travel with her mother-in-law to her home. She has never been there before, and does not know anyone but her mother-in-law. Her husband, father-in-law and brother-in-law are all dead… her sister-in-law bails. It’s just the two women and Naomi is well-advanced in years. We don’t know much about what kind of life Ruth had back at home, but we learn that she had no problem with hard work. She was respectful, even asking Naomi’s permission to work the fields. She traveled to a culture that was difficult under normal circumstances, but there was little provision made for two widows who basically had to start over with practically nothing. No social services, food stamps, or medicare. Then one day, as she is working, unbeknownst to her the owner of the field takes notice of her and begins to ask questions about her. No doubt she was the talk of the town, a young, beautiful stranger from Moab that was actually decent, mannerable and pure. They also noticed how attentive she was to the needs of her mother-in-law. No one could say anything about her other than that she was a virtuous woman. What a testimony! In the whole town, I’m sure there were ‘haters’. People that would have hated her for no other reason than that she was from the land of Moab. She would have been considered ‘tainted’…remember the Moabites were the descendants of Lot’s incestuous relationship with his first-born daughter. To say they were “frowned upon” by the people of Judah would be quite an understatement. Boaz willingly agrees to become what was known as Ruth’s “kinsman redeemer”. In those days, the wife of the deceased could marry a near relative of the man so that a son could be produced and the name of the deceased not be wiped out amongst their people. Lineage was very important to them. Boaz provided for not only Ruth, but Naomi as well. He saved them from a life of poverty and maybe even death. Well, Jesus is our ‘kinsman redeemer’. We were bought and purchased by Him with His blood, through His atoning sacrifice. Adopted into the family of God… The Bride of Christ… set aside.. blessed… highly favored.
…. now THAT Beloved is Good News!
Y Stress? … U Blessed!
Have A Fabulous Day!

JESUS.

There’s just something about that Name
Master, Savior, Jesus
Like the fragrance after the rain
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
Let all heaven and earth proclaim
Kings and kingdoms will all pass away
But there’s just something about that Name

There Is None Like Jesus

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
“There is None Like Jesus”
Good Morning Beloved,
Jesus is real and He is awesome! I mean when we really stop to think about His character He is fabulous! Years ago, I had to fly to Atlanta for a business meeting. It was my very first time on a plane and, let’s just say terrified could not adequately describe the fear I felt. I did what any new born again believer would do…. I prayed, told God my life was in His hands, that He was the same God who protected me everyday on the ground, and this would be no different. Then I promptly …. continued to be scared out of my wits … until I grabbed my little ‘purse’ bible and started to read. As I read about through the Gospels, I saw a picture of our Savior. Jesus… wise, kind, powerful, no-nonsense, straight-forward, compassionate with a great sense of humor. He loves people, but He is not controlled by them. He knew His purpose and even through His crises in the Garden of Gethsemane, there was no doubt that He would complete His mission, and glorify The Father. There is none like Him. Many put themselves in harm’s way every day to save the lives of perfect strangers. Some even save people they don’t like. Our Lord Jesus loved us so much that He sacrificed His life to place us back in fellowship with Himself. He was the only One that could do it. He is complete perfection. We didn’t even know what was missing… but He did. We didn’t know how lost we were… but He did. We didn’t know the horrors that were waiting for us… but He did. After His bloody, horrific death, He was buried. The blessed truth for the Child of the Living God is that He didn’t stay there. He went to Hell and took the keys to death, hell and the grave and on the third day He got up. He didn’t forget His disciples, hiding in fear. The King of kings appeared to them, comforted them, gave them instructions, endowed them with power, and ascended to His Heavenly Throne. What a mighty God we serve! He is so unique and all encompassing, that He can dwell on high and in our hearts at the same time. How does that work? He is God. He is the God of all who embrace the gift of Jesus.
But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name…
There is none like Him… and that my friend is Good News!
U Blessed
Have A Fabulous Day!
