May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.  All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace He has poured out on us who belong to His dear Son.  He is so rich in kindness and grace that He purchased our freedom with the blood of His Son and forgave our sins. He has showered His kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding. God has now revealed to us His mysterious plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill His own good pleasure. And this is the plan: At the right time He will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth. Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for He chose us in advance, and He makes everything work out according to His plan. God’s purpose was that we Jews who were the first to trust in Christ would bring praise and glory to God.  And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, He identified you as His own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom He promised long ago. The Spirit is God’s guarantee that He will give us the inheritance He promised and that He has purchased us to be His own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify Him. Ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God’s people everywhere, I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God.  I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope He has given to those He called—His holy people who are His rich and glorious inheritance.  I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe Him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. Now He is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come.  God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made Him head over all things for the benefit of the church.  And the church is His body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with Himself.
[Ephesians 1:2-23]

TAKE ANOTHER LOOK pt. 3

Good Morning Beloved,

NEWSFLASH… God is RICH!  I know, what a revelation right?  “The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof”.  He is rich all the way around.  In addition to the “cattle on a thousand hills” (Psalm 50:10) , He is also rich in mercy, rich in goodness, rich in patience.  Rich.  He lacks nothing. Not only is He rich, but He is generous.  It is His good pleasure to give to His children.  The thing is, He is a good parent.  He knows that ’blessings’ out of season can actually become a curse to our life.  There are some affluent parents who give their children so much that it actually cripples them.  Those children become spoiled, self-centered, lazy and arrogant.  They develop a sense of entitlement that causes them to have warped sense of reality and lack compassion.  They become destructive to themselves and others.  Remember the old saying, “idle hands are the devils workshop”… we see that played out over and over in today’s media.  There are good parents though, who give their children more than just material things (though they give them stuff as well).  They give them.. themselves.  Love, time, care, attention, nurturing.  They impart wisdom to them and a sense of responsibility and respect.  These children generally grow up to be amazing people with a desire to give back.  That is the way our Heavenly Father operates.  He could make us all multi-millionaires tomorrow, but He knows chaos would ensue! Think about that.  If God gave us everything we wanted, exactly when we wanted, what would we do?  Would we continue to seek His face or would we be blinded and distracted by the stuff.  Truthfully, there are some things I’m glad God did not give me when I asked for them… it would not have worked out for my good.  God has used wisdom and experience to teach me that.  In Him is all that we need.  I was listening to Antwaun Stanley’s first project this morning and I fell in love with it all over again. The songs were honest and sweet.  They spoke to having a real relationship with God.  They came from a place of humility, surrender, curiosity, admiration and love.  That is the relationship God wants with us.  One that is not burdened down with fear, worry, sin and regret.  He told us to come to Him and “reason” with Him.  He is the answer to our “issues”, and He told us to cast our “care” on Him… Why?  Because He cares for us.  I received this repost from my sister-in-love” Michelle.  It read:

Today’s Battles, Tomorrow’s Strengths

By Steven Furtick
This week’s topic: Faith In God One of my favorite Southern Baptist preachers, Johnny Hunt, once said that the only time he ever gets headaches is when he finds himself trying to fight today’s battles with tomorrow’s strength. I think Pastor Johnny was quoting another pastor when he said it. Come to think of it, the idea originated with Jesus:

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” -Matthew 6:34

God supplies all the strength we need to do all that He’s called us to do. But He rations this strength much in the same way He rationed manna to the children of Israel. He provides sufficient strength each day for the challenges of that day…and that day only. This strength doesn’t carry over from one day to the next. You either use it, or lose it. And He will not give you enough strength today for the confrontations, obligations, and challenges of next week, next month, or next year. That strength will be deposited in your account precisely when you need it, and not a moment before. If you’re stressed and overwhelmed today, check your strength supply. I’ll bet you have enough to get you through this day. And that’s all you need for now.

Scripture Of The Day:

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” – Matthew 6:34 (NKJV)

The Lord’s account is never overdrawn … we just need to upload what is in His account to ours.

…. and that Beloved is Good News!

Then the Lord said to me,

“Write My answer plainly on tablets,
so that a runner can carry the correct message to others.

[Habakkuk 2:2 New Living Translation]

Good Morning Beloved,

What a great day!  A brand new day, full of possibilities.  This weekend I had the pleasure of visiting a few of my friends, and seeing the progress being made in their respective building projects.  I love seeing the finished product, of someones’ idea.  Honestly, it is frustrating to me to hear someone constantly talk about their vision, and never do anything towards it… as if it will drop from the sky.  I had all but stopped talking about large part of mine for that very reason.  I wasn’t doing anything on Regal 1.  My focus was elsewhere.  Now I believe I’ve gotten a clearer perspective on what I’m supposed to be doing.  As I was reading Habakkuk, from the New Living Translation, it jumped out at me.  God said, “Write My Vision plainly, so that a runner can carry the message to others”.  It gives vision a totally different level of importance.  It places the ownership of the thing into the hands of God.  Suddenly, it is not me alone, struggling, and trying to get something done.  I don’t have to worry about whether or not it will happen.  I don’t have to stress over labor, finances, materials, buildings, permits, licenses, permission, etc.  Yes, it is vital that we ‘cultivate our craft’.  We plan, work and learn all that we can … that is the ground work, but we have no need to fear, or to become anxious over it. Procrastination is our enemy and is rooted in fear!  Regardless to whether it is a home building project, or a desire to begin a brand new ministry.  We need to remember that we are the managers of the project, God is the CEO/CFO/COO and the Owner… in other words He’s the Boss!  As we are attentive to what is written in His Word and what He has written on our hearts — it will come together.

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.

Galatians 6:9

And they sang a new song with these words: “You (Jesus) are worthy to take the scroll and break its seals and open it.  For You were slaughtered, and Your blood has ransomed people for GOD from every tribe and language and people and nation.

[Revelation 5:9]

“It is Finished”

PAID IN FULL!

Good Morning Beloved,

I wish I could describe to you how I am feeling this morning.  The closest I can come to it is as ‘a peaceful gratitude’.  I have a testimony.  God blessed me abundantly last night.  I saw the hand of God moving in a way, that had I not been paying attention, would have been lost on me.  I accidentally locked both set of keys in my car.  My family and I were in completely unfamiliar territory (I was doing a dry run to a place I need to be on Saturday).  People came from everywhere to help us break into my car.  A random couple on their way into a restaurant carrying clothes on hangers (at 9:30pm) — just when we needed another hanger.  A man and his wife who stayed and worked relentlessly, a young worker from the restaurant, and a gentleman I later found out to be a volunteer within the fire department.  He came to our rescue with a ‘slim jim’.  Actually, none of the tactics seemed to be working.  (I keep telling people my little Aerio has secrets).  Finally, the only thing that worked was what the man’s wife had suggested the previous hour… hook the keys and pull them out of the window… Viola!  I just marveled at how 5 groups of people, going in 5 different directions, late in the evening, bonded over one harried lady’s mistake.  They made my dilemma their concern, and for that I am eternally grateful and I let them know.  I don’t know them, but I know the God that knows them, and I pray that He do something extra special in their lives.

Today is the day known as ‘Good Friday’.  There will be many services this evening on the Seven Last Words of Jesus from the cross.  I found this beautiful teaching this morning by Ben H. Swett, Bethany Christian Church written in 1974.

“Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” (Luke 23:34)

Soldiers have just driven nails through His hands and feet and hoisted Him up by those nails. He does not fear those who kill His body; He pities them and prays for them. If they knew how much this hurts, they could not do it to anyone. They are unwitting instruments of the Higher Purpose that brings Him here.

“My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” (Matthew 27:46)

But physical torment takes its toll. He suddenly discovers that He cannot hear the still, small Voice; He has lost His two-way communication with God. His lifeline is not working, so He must face the the narrow gate of death alone.

He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!” Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” (John 19:26-27)

Not quite alone. He looks down. Which hurts worse: the pain of being crucified, or the pain of a mother watching her son be crucified, or the pain of a boy whose beloved Teacher hangs bleeding before his eyes? He understands their pain in the midst of His own, and tells them to care for each other.

“I thirst!” (John 19:28)

Time passes slowly. His spring of living water runs dry. He reaches the end of His strength. This is the moment the Tempter has been waiting for: through the voices of cynical men, Satan tries again, as he did in the wilderness: “If You are the Christ, prove it! Save Yourself and impress the people.”

“Truly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” (Luke 23:43)

But a dying thief says, “Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” What the cynical voices suggest is not the way to prove He is the Christ. His Kingdom is not of this world. He ignores them and reassures the thief.

“It is finished!” (John 19:30)

He has defeated the Tempter again. Despite the agony, He has rejected temptation and cared for those around Him. His temporary duty on earth is complete. He has shown the way God wants us to live. He has demonstrated the fact that faith and hope and love cannot be destroyed by anything men can say or do.

“Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit.” (Luke 23:46)

Like a trusting child, He turns to the Father and takes the next step. He has bound himself by love, to both God and the human race. Soon He will begin His long-term ministry by demonstrating the fact that human beings survive physical death. Then He will continue to draw to Himself, and thus to heaven, everyone He can … for as long as it takes … until whosoever will has come.

…. and THAT Beloved is THE Good News!

U Blessed!

Then there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon and his angels.  And the dragon lost the battle, and he and his angels were forced out of heaven. This great dragon—the ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, the one deceiving the whole world—was thrown down to the earth with all his angels. Then I heard a loud voice shouting across the heavens,  “It has come at last—salvation and power and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down to earth— the one who accuses them before our God day and night.  And they have defeated him by the Blood of the Lamb and by their testimony.  And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die. Therefore, rejoice, O heavens! And you who live in the heavens, rejoice!  But terror will come on the earth and the sea, for the devil has come down to you in great anger, knowing that he has little time.”

[Revelation 12:7-12]

“Under The Blood”

Good Morning Beloved,

Can you believe this Sunday is Palm Sunday?… Wow!… During this Passion Season there are so many hearts that are receptive to the Good News of the Gospel.  Even in an increasingly hostile culture, there is a remnant who desire to KNOW the true and living God.  Their hearts are hungry.  They know that something is missing and they don’t know what it is.  Everything that they put their trust in, their money, their education, their government, their success has been shaken to its very foundation.  This is the greatest time to be alive.  Not just ‘breathing’, but to be ALIVE in Christ.  Jesus told us to ‘occupy’ (‘do business’) until He comes.  He does not want us to live in fear.  He wants our trust to rest completely in Him.  To the point that if we go home to be with Him its fine, and if He should tarry and we live to be 100+ that’s good too.  All of our days filled with purpose, blessing and the joy of the Lord.  Not taking anything or anyone for granted.  I recently saw a story of a couple Herbert and Zelmyra Fisher who have been married for 84 years (they are in the Guinness Book) and still love and appreciate each other.  “Anything for her” he said.  Wow!  We are to Rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn.  Love with reckless abandon-what do we really have to lose if our life is hidden in Jesus?  We are called to be living epistles and living witnesses of who God is to us.  We are not exempt from trouble, but we have a hope that nobody else has.  We have a blessed hope and an assurance of forgiveness, peace, everlasting life and goodness.  We know that “this”  (whatever ‘this’ is) will soon pass. Situations that have people killing themselves (and others), we go THROUGH knowing that our God is with us.  At those times when we feel as though we cannot take another step, He carries us.  We were designed to overcome.  We are victors not victims.  He called us “more than conquerors”.  Some of us have gone through (or are going through) hard trials.  Remember the last hard trial? Remember how you came through it when you did not see a way out?  Others need to hear our testimonies… our stories.  Folks need to know that the same God who delivered Daniel from the lions den, and Shadrach, Meshach and Abednigo from the fiery furnace, who raised the dead, unstopped deaf ears, and opened blind eyes, who blessed the womb of a 90 year old woman, to bear the son of her 100 year old husband… the God who delivered the nation of Israel time and time again…. people need to know that THAT God is STILL delivering, and His people still overcoming here in this generation.

… and that Family is Good News!

Our God is a God of justice, but also a God of mercy. Through the blood of Jesus, God’s mercy is available to us now. It is up to us to decide to accept it. We don’t want to be camping out in “Sin Forest” when judgment time comes.
