The LORD your God in the midst of you is mighty; He will save, He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest in His love, He will joy over thee with singing.

[Zephaniah 3:17]

Good Afternoon Beloved,
 HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!

What a lovely day!  Today is my birthday and I am so excited!  Well, actually, I’m always excited over birthdays… other peoples’ as well as mine.  A birthday to me represents one more year God has graced one to exist on earth.  It signifies that there is still an assignment to be done and we have been given a little more time to complete it.  This morning when I turned on my computer, I had so many beautiful well wishes it was almost overwhelming!  Someone ”sang” happy birthday to me via e-mail.  I was just reminded of my God who also sings… and He’s not singing, “I’m gonna knock you out” .  He rejoices over us… I just never get tired of hearing that, because for so many years I got such a scary view of God.  A wrong perception of a Deity that could never be pleased, always frowned and stayed in a constant state of irritation.  God does get angry.. don’t misunderstand me, but I suspect He is a little more balanced than a lot of us were led to believe.  He is grace, mercy, truth and love.  He knows the end from the beginning.  He sees where we are, where we’ve been and where we’re going.  Nothing is hidden from His careful gaze.  He’s seen every tear and every smile.  He knows what makes us tick far better than we do.  I found myself reminiscing today about my childhood.  I have been putting together a collection of pictures for my new found family, and boy did it bring back memories.  I was that shy little girl in the back of the class that never talked.  I was the ‘dirty’ girl… the one with the wrong clothes and jacked up hair… the ‘outcast’ that was laughed at and talked about.  My 10th grade Social Studies teacher at Calvert Senior High, Mr. Thompson, wrote something in my yearbook that I have carried in my heart ever since.  He wrote, “Regina, sometimes those who do not make themselves the center of attention are often overlooked, it is those same people whose inner wonder is never known”  …wow… that statement girded my mind and strengthened my resolve that’s the power of a good teacher.  I always felt that there was something unique and beautiful about me, even while folks were trying their level best to tear me down.  The result was good because it made me appreciate people for who they are, and to see the beauty in them.  It caused me not to treat people the way that they did.  It gave me a desire to become a better human being.  I’ve often thought over the years, that if Mr. Thompson could see me, he would be shocked.  I probably never said over a handful of words during the entire year I had his class, now, you can’t shut me up.  I uploaded this message on ‘Facebook’ for the young people that are around me.

2 my fly youngins going through drama with crazy people -keep your head up, don’t let ‘em get you down, trust me in a few years you won’t remember half their names ;0)”

Live in such a way that those who know you but don’t know God, will come to know God because they know you.

That is the plain truth!  I have gained a lot of wisdom and insight in recent years.  I’ve learned that nothing is ever wasted and EVERYTHING becomes part of our testimony.  Remember, we overcome by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony… what we came through and WHO brought us over…. sing Father …. sing

************

And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed. (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)  And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.  And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)

 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with Child.  And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.  And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.  And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.  And, lo, the Angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the Angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.  And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the Babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.  And suddenly there was with the Angel a multitude of the Heavenly Host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.  And it came to pass, as the Angels were gone away from them into Heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.  And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger.  And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this Child.  And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.  But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.  And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.  And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the Child, His Name was called JESUS, which was so named of the Angel before He was conceived in the womb.

Luke 2:1-21

Good Morning Beloved!

M*E*R*R*Y  C*H*R*I*S*T*M*A*S*!!!!!!

May the God of all comfort grant you peace, cover you with His grace, saturate you with His love and anoint you to do even greater things in His Name.  May He give you the desires of your heart and bless you abundantly.  May He calm your anxieties, release you from all fear and bring triumph into your life.  May you always have a song in your heart and a praise on your lips.  May He keep you and all that you hold dear.  I also pray that you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers.  That you accomplish all that you set your hand to do in Him.  That you find great success in your career and in life in general.  That your children grow in the strength and knowledge of the Lord and are blessed forever.  That you walk in holy boldness and live, as much as you are able, in peace with all people.  May The Face of God continue to shine upon you.

May the Good News of the Gospel always reside in your heart!

U Blessed!

Christmas Lights
-John 8:12
105 of 105

A string of Christmas lights are all connected to and get their source of power from one wire. As Christians, we are all connected to Jesus Christ, and receive our strength and life from Him. And in Him, we are all connected to each other.

A Great Savior… A Great Friend

Written by FAVORED1 on March 20, 2008 – 6:35 am -

Good Morning Beloved,

I hope you have a really great day… really great.  I love music.  A good song will express in words and melody, what the heart can not articulate.

LIGHT OF THE WORLD YOU
STEPPED DOWN INTO DARKNESS
OPENED MY EYES LET ME SEE
BEAUTY THAT MADE THIS HEART ADORE YOUHOPE OF A LIFE SPENT WITH YOU
CHORUS:
HERE I AM TO WORSHIP
HERE I AM TO BOW DOWN
HERE I AM TO SAY
THAT YOU’RE MY GOD
YOU’RE ALTOGETHER LOVELY
ALTOGETHER WORTHY
ALTOGETHER WONDERFUL TO ME
LEAD: KING OF ALL DAYS OH SO HIGHLY EXALTED, GLORIOUS IN HEAVEN ABOVE, HUMBLY YOU CAME TO THE EARTH YOU CREATED, ALL FOR LOVE’S SAKE BECAME POOR
(CHORUS )
VAMP:
I’LL NEVER KNOW HOW MUCH IT COST
TO SEE MY SIN UPON THAT CROSS
NO GREATER LOVE THAN ONE THAT WOULD LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR A FRIEND
(CHORUS)
“Here I Am To Worship” Israel and New Breed (Live From Another Level)

…. No greater love than one that would lay down his life for a friend… What makes Jesus so amazing is that,

While we were yet in weakness [powerless to help ourselves], at the fitting time Christ died for (in behalf of) the ungodly. Now it is an extraordinary thing for one to give his life even for an upright man, though perhaps for a noble and lovable and generous benefactor someone might even dare to die. But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us. Therefore, since we are now justified (acquitted, made righteous, and brought into right relationship with God) by Christ’s Blood, how much more [certain is it that] we shall be saved by Him from the indignation and wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, it is much more [certain], now that we are reconciled, that we shall be saved (daily delivered from sin’s dominion) through His [resurrection] life.  (Romans 5:6-10)

Pardoned

Cartoonist’s Comment:

The Good News is that the pardon for your sins has already been given. But you need to accept it by faith.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today I wanted to remember another great Christian Cartoonist .  Johnny Hart, B.C. Cartoonist, who went home to be with the Lord the day before Easter, 2007.  Johnny Hart’s widow has been quoted as saying, “he is in a better place.” But with a laugh, Bobby Hart she says she’s “mad at him,” because she “wanted to be there first.” She adds that they had hoped to go to heaven together in the Rapture.
The 76-year-old Hart often incorporated his Christian faith into his comic strip, including the one that appeared on Easter Sunday, the morning after his death.
Hart’s pastor says it’s appropriate that the Easter strip contained Jesus’ promise of resurrection and eternal life.
In March 1996, The Los Angeles Times refused to run his Palm Sunday strip, and a national uproar ensued, reaching even the Washington, D.C., talk show circuit. The strip had Wiley—a brooding, poet-wannabe in B.C.’s cast of characters—sitting against a tree, tablet in hand, writing a poem entitled “The Suffering Prince” —
Picture yourself tied to a tree,
condemned of the sins of eternity.
Then picture a spear,
parting the air,
seeking your heart to cut your despair.
Suddenly—a Knight, in Armor of White,
stands in the gap betwixt you and its flight,
And shedding His ‘Armor of God’ for you—
bears the lance that runs Him through.
His Heart has been pierced that yours may beat,
and the Blood of His Corpse washes your feet.
Picture yourself in raiment white,
cleansed by the blood of the lifeless knight.
Never to mourn, the Prince who was downed,
For He is not lost!
It is you who are found.
U BLESSED,
Have A Wonderful Day
Regina
