 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you.
[
Matthew 17:20]

And the Lord said, If you had faith as a grain of mustard seed, you might say to this sycamine tree, Be you plucked up by the root, and be you planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
[
Luke 17:6]

Good Afternoon Beloved,

The Bible says,

For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him…

[2 Chronicles 16:9]

WOW!  God is looking, searching for someone who will have enough faith in Him to trust Him to do exploits through them!  His Eyes are “running”!  WOW!  That’s enough to make me want to dance!  The problem is that many can’t believe that He is who He said He is, and He will do what He said He will do.  Faith is not the issue.  Everyone has been given the “measure of faith” .  Believers and non-believers alike.  Late last night I received an object lesson.  Three young men “strolled” in front of my car.  The problem?  Their light was red, and I was turning a corner.  They looked at me as if I had done something wrong!  The nerve of me driving through through a GREEN light!  I told my daughter that people have “big time” faith.  They had faith in me, that I wouldn’t hit them.  They had faith that I wasn’t in the middle of a medical emergency, or a mental breakdown.  They also had faith in my car -that my brakes were in good working order.  No wonder Jesus told His people to have faith in Him.  He knew that they had some.  The only “fear” we should entertain is the “fear” of the Lord (awe, reverence, respect).   Un-Godly fear is faith in reverse. The belief that something bad is going to happen.  That kind of fear will crush our faith.  Our faith should crush our fear.. the decision is ultimately ours.  God will not make it for us.  He gently admonishes us to simply trust Him.  Trust Him when it doesn’t make “no earthly sense”.  Trust Him when you’ve tried it before, and it didn’t seem to work.  Trust Him when you feel as though you can’t take another disappoinment.  Trust Him when you’re not sure what you should do.  Trust Him when bad news is so prevelant around you, that you feel like “Evilena” in “The Wiz”–‘Don’t Nobody Bring Me No Bad News!”.  Trust Him when things are looking GREAT, trust Him when they’re not.  Trust Him in all the seasons of life.  During winter when life seems cold, miserable and endless.  Spring, when life seems fresh and new, but wet and dreary.  Summer, when it seems hot and exciting, but there’s a danger of becoming content, to the point of laziness.  Fall, when we’re hit with the “unfamiliar” and change is in the air.  Each season has its own beauty.. each its own set of complexities.  In the midst of them all, God is still looking.  Looking for that one who will say yes.  That one who will show up, so He can show “out”.

… and that Beloved is Good News!

Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. (Philippians 4:1)

Be on guard.  Stand firm in the faith.  Be courageous.  Be strong.  {1 Corinthians 16:13}

Good Morning Beloved,

Happy Friday Saints!  This is the day the Lord has made, let’s rejoice and be glad in it! Stand!  Through life’s challenges and triumphs, I let my mind roll back to the days when I first got excited about Jesus. God uses different methods to get our attention.  With me it was music.  I’ve always loved music.  Music has a way of locking in a memory.  This morning I’ve been traveling down memory lane with the songs I fell in love with, when I started listening to Gospel music back in the 80′s.  The Georgia Mass Choir, Richard Smallwood, The Winans, The Hawkins, James Cleveland, Keith Pringle, The Clark Sisters, The Mighty Clouds, John P. Kee. Tramaine Hawkins (remember the controversy over ‘Fall Down On Me”… it was considered ‘worldly’)… Then I found Fred Hammond and RFC, Kirk Franklin, CeCe Winans, Vickie Winans, Yolanda Adams.  Many great artists who are still on the musical battlefield today.  Many days, when times are tough I hear a song that feeds my spirit and infuses me with strength.  What to do when you don’t know what to do?… STAND.  Stand on what God told you already… Stand on God’s Word… Stand on God’s promises… Stand for what is right… Stand for holiness no matter how ‘old fashioned’ it may be viewed by society.  Remember Stephen in the bible… He took a stand for Jesus… now he was stoned(), but  he was courageous, and he knew what he knew. Do you remember what happened?   He looked up towards heaven, and the very Jesus he stood for… was standing for him.  Jesus gave the man a standing ovation!  Standing is a show of respect.  We know we have the unconditional love of God, but to have His respect…. WOW!

…. now that is Good News!

In John 16:33, Jesus says: In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. Trouble may be mowing down everything around us, but in Jesus, we can stand and not be cut down.
