Good Morning Beloved,

Remember what they taught us in school. If we were ever on fire, they told us to STOP, DROP and ROLL. We were told that running only made the fire worse, but dropping to the ground and rolling would put the fire out. Some of us have never been in a physical fire (thank God), but we are surrounded by spiritual, emotional, societal and metaphorical fires. It could be having more bills than money, or a family that is torn in shreds, or severe health challenges. Whatever the fire, S D & R is good advice.

STOP! … Take time to pray, meditate and think about the situation. There is a better solution and sometimes it is easier then we thought. Ever had an idea ’pop’ in your head, and said, “hmmmm…. why didn’t I think of that before!”.

DROP… Let some stuff go. Whether it is a foul temper, a toxic relationship, or an unnecessary expense.

ROLL … it off of you and onto the Lord by faith. Especially if it is something that you have no control over anyway. We cannot control people, so if it is a person, pray and “roll” them over to the Lord. Do as much as you can, but realize that you are not their God and there is only so much you can do.

It will be spring soon, we can do some ‘spring’ cleaning early. Not just the house and our closets, but our entire lives. I was looking through a telephone bill recently, and realized that I have been paying for services in a package, that I rarely use and some of them I never use. Time to ‘snip-snip’. A good rule of thumb is, if the thing (whatever it is), has not been used in a year…. get rid of it. We will find that we are carrying a lot of unnecessary weight (and not just on our body). Ever lost a few pounds, and felt like you are breathing better… that is because you are. When we drop whatever weight we are carrying, we will feel so much better and be able to focus on areas that were neglected when we were bogged down….

…. and that my friend is Good News!

Good Morning Beloved,
I am praying with you, that your day will be blessed. God touched my heart this morning. I woke up (that’s a blessing right there), the word that was ringing in my spirit was “choice”. We hear a lot about choice these days. So many people, so loudly proclaiming freedom of “choice” for all kinds of behavior. Some of it just plain evil. Isn’t that what the bible said though, “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that count darkness as light, and light as darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20). So much is said for choice that it has almost developed a negative connotation. Proponents of ‘choice’ would be very surprised to learn that they weren’t the first to adopt that word. God was. He said, “See, I have set before you this day life and good, and death and evil, (Deuteronomy 30:15)…. choose…. It is recorded in Deuteronomy 30:19 “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore choose life, that both you and your seed may live”. God gave us the option whether to choose life or death, that’s awesome right there, but then He said let Me help you here… choose life. Yesterday we talked about how “out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks”. Today we need to know, that the words we speak are so powerful that we need to choose them very carefully. Remember, Proverbs 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. When we come to a crossroad, remember the road Jesus took to the cross. He made a choice…. for us. He was wrapped in humanity. He felt hunger, pain, anger. His body got tired… the same as us. He knew how horrific His death on the cross would be, and yet He chose to die, because He knew that without His sacrifice, we would never be able to be connected back to God. Fellowship. The same fellowship Adam and Eve enjoyed in the Garden. Just imagine God walking with Adam in the cool of the day… ‘good morning Adam….. good morning Father’, hey Father did you see how much fun the the Lion and the Lamb were having this morning playing…(don’t look for that in the bible, it isn’t there :0) Hey, but isn’t it good to know that we can actually ‘talk’ to our Heavenly Father… about anything (He knows everything anyway!)….. He’s waiting for us to ‘choose‘.

U Blessed
