Work, Work, Work :0)

On the seventh day GOD had finished His work of creation, so He rested [Or ceased] from all His work.
[Genesis 2:2]
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the LORD rather than for people.
[ Colossians 3:23]
Work, Work, Work
Good Afternoon Beloved,
Welcome back!
You know, to hear some people talk about their jobs, you would think that they worked for Evilena in the Wiz!(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7_lRHi_iS8) … OK… well … maybe you do work for Evilena but remember it could always be worse. I wish I could tell you how many folks I know who quit because of an arrogant, egotistical, maniacal boss (or co-worker!). I believe the situations were divine set-ups to move the person along towards the next leg of their journey. I’ve been there. Whether or not we stay on the job, we are learning valuable lessons that will come in handy. How do we learn patience? We learn patience through the things that we go through. If we can get to the place where what made us go ballistic, barely gets a rise out of us… we have conquered another level. The next level of growth will have a whole other set of situations to deal with. Each thing we overcome, strengthens us and has a domino-like affect on other areas of our life. When I’m exercising, I may not see immediate results. Everything still looks the same to me, but while I’m doing something as simple as walking around an amusement park… I can feel the difference. I can walk longer, faster, up and down hills with no loss of breath and no leg cramps or aching feet. Other people will notice changes in us many times before we do. I heard something that really blessed me.
There are no non-sacred occupations
(Dan Miller “My Job, My Calling” http://www.crosswalk.com/careers/1351040/ :
God has given each of you a gift from His great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.
[I Peter 4:10 (New Living Translation)]
Everything we do, is touched by who we are and whose we are. We are to be living ‘Bibles’. Our ultimate goal is for someone to be able to look at us, and ‘see’ the Word of God in someone they can touch. They should see our compassion, the depth of our love for all of God’s handiwork, and an even deeper depth of love for those close to us. We should be the best employees in the whole organization… dependable, hardworking, punctual, trustworthy and pleasant. Some jobs it is easier being these things than others I know, but that is where faith in God kicks in. Some days we may have to go into a bathroom stall and have ‘a little talk with Jesus’. We have been given gifts…talents… ‘natural ability’ in some areas. Remember, God is Super and when His ‘Super’ hits our ’natural’… we can do things we never thought we could.
…. and that Family… is Good News!
U Blessed

‘TESTIFY’
Written by FAVORED1 on September 3, 2009 – 9:15 am -Thursday, September 3, 2009
Then I heard a loud voice shouting across the heavens, “It has come at last—salvation and power and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down to earth— the one who accuses them before our God day and night. And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb
and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die. Therefore, rejoice, O heavens! And you who live in the heavens, rejoice! But terror will come on the earth and the sea, for the devil has come down to you in great anger knowing that he has little time.”
[Revelation 12:10-12]
“Testify”
Good Morning Beloved,
The Bible is the living, breathing testimony of an all wise, all knowing, all powerful God. He looked down throughout the ages and placed snapshots of human history on paper. One writer in speaking of the acts of Jesus said that: And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen. [John 21:25]
Testimony is powerful. In a court of law it could mean the difference between someones freedom and their imprisonment. The same is true in life in general. Someone else could be in a prison which we’ve already been freed from. We have the key and we need to share it with them. If we’ve been delivered from anything, God can use that very thing to bring deliverance to other people.
Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. [1 Corinthians 6:9-11 NLT]
Testimony can also be used to give somebody hope. To let them know that no matter the difficulty and struggle, God is still able. A single mom needs to know that these days of diapers, missed buses, financial problems, doctors’ appointments, report cards, phone calls, meetings with teachers, sickness, penny pinching, chauffeuring, tears, strong willed little darlins’, and yelling will be over all too soon. They need to see that on the other side, they will actually miss some of the darnedest things. Telling someone our testimony has another side benefit. As we tell others what God has done in our life in the past, it actually strengthens our faith that if He brought me through that ( … pause… praise break… HALLELUJAH!!!)
… He WILL bring us through whatever it is that we are in the midst of now!
…. and THAT Beloved is Good News!
