So Beautiful!
Written by FAVORED1 on April 2, 2010 – 11:30 am -Friday, April 2, 2010
Who has believed our message?
To whom has the Lord revealed His powerful arm? My Servant grew up in the Lord’s presence like a tender green shoot, like a root in dry ground. There was nothing beautiful or majestic about His appearance, nothing to attract us to Him. He was despised and rejected— a Man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on Him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. Yet it was our weaknesses He carried; it was our sorrows that weighed Him down. And we thought His troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for His own sins! But He was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on Him the sins of us all. He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet He never said a word. He was led like a Lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, He did not open His mouth. Unjustly condemned, He was led away. No one cared that He died without descendants, that His life was cut short in midstream. But He was struck down for the rebellion of My people.
He had done no wrong and had never deceived anyone. But He was buried like a criminal; He was put in a rich man’s grave. But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush Him and cause Him grief. Yet when His life is made an offering for sin, He will have many descendants.
He will enjoy a long life, and the Lord’s good plan will prosper in His Hands. When He sees all that is accomplished by His anguish,
He will be satisfied. And because of His experience, My Righteous Servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for He will bear all their sins. I will give Him the honors of a Victorious Soldier, because He exposed Himself to death. He was counted among the rebels. He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels.
[Isaiah 53 New Living Translation]
So Beautiful!
Good Afternoon Beloved,
God is good and His mercy endures forever! I hope this beautiful Good Friday finds you well and in good spirits. What happened to my Savior on my behalf was ugly, but He is beautiful beyond all comprehension. We will never fully understand the depth of His love, nor the agony of His Crucifixion. “The Passion of the Christ”, by Mel Gibson was an excellent depiction. I heard Jim Caviezel (the actor who portrayed Jesus), talk about his experiences while working on the film. He was struck by lightning and left virtually unharmed, his shoulder was dislocated, he was left on the cross for hours…everybody forgot he was there as they broke for lunch… he was accidentally struck by the whip, (which left him with a permanent scar), he developed pneumonia and suffered hypothermia as sudden wind gusts rocked the cross he was on. Talk about suffering for your art! He believed so adamantly that it was a film that needed to be made, that to this day he has no regrets. His prayer was for someone not to see him, but to see Jesus and be converted. His prayer was answered… many people came to Christ as a result of this movie, including a Muslim actor who portrayed one of the soldiers. Countless lives have been changed, and Christians whose relationship with God had grown stale and stagnant were revitalized, and fell in love with Jesus all over again! Powerful! It reminded us that the price Jesus paid for us was staggering! He died for us… can we live for Him? (umph..I heard you this morning Janelle..thank you for the reminder
) He rose again, so that we could rise with Him, so that we could be seated with Him in Heavenly places, and not us alone, but the invitations have gone out to all humanity! “Whosoever will …” !
… and that Beloved is Good News!

The Glass: Half-Full or Half-Empty?
Written by FAVORED1 on August 20, 2009 – 10:43 am -Thursday, August 20, 2009
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
[Romans 8:28]
The Glass: Half Full or Half Empty?

The appendix is apparently part of the gut’s immune system. For example, patients who have had an appendectomy have a higher incidence latter in life of a lymphoma called Hodgins disease than those who have not had an appendectomy. So much for the concept of a vestigial organ, as the appendix is now starting to gain some respect. (http://www.revolutionhealth.com/forums/other/12802)
. If we don’t get it, we get angry at life and angry at God and develop a ‘half empty’ mentality. When we change our mind, we can change our life… so here’s to half-full glasses! But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
[Hebrews 11:6]

The Hiding Place
Written by FAVORED1 on August 13, 2009 – 7:05 am -Thursday, August 13, 2009

“The Hiding Place”
Good Morning Beloved,
“He who dwells in the secret place of the most high, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty”.
The only truly safe place to be is under His shadow. Regardless of our circumstances, we are OK because we are His. You may say, yeah, but look around, things seem to be getting worse everyday. Well, for the child of God we should not be surprised or caught unaware. I’ve notice the rise of futuristic plots on television as well as the big screen. Everybody wants to know what is going to happen in future. For us… we already know. The bible is a complete Book of books. It gives us an account of the past, a look at where we are now, and a preview of what is yet to come.
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. [2 Timothy 3:1-7]
Wow… sound familiar? Looks like the headlines in today’s paper. Yet and still, the bible tells us that we are safe in Jesus. How can it make such a bold statement? Remember,
I, even I, am He that comforts you: who are you, that you should be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass; And forget the LORD your maker, that has stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and has feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor? [Isaiah 51:12-13]
Fear is a thief. It will rob us of everything God has for us. Remember we have a free will and He will not ‘make’ us do anything. There are saints of the Most High God who are afraid to go out at night. Afraid to apply for a new job. Afraid to even take a cruise for fear of the ship sinking. When we are hidden Jesus, even our messes can be used in our message. Our mistakes are never wasted. Everything we have gone through or will ever go through, God already saw and made provision for our breakthrough. Why? That we may glorify Him in the earth and be living epistles read by all humanity.

U Blessed

God-Breathed
Written by FAVORED1 on July 22, 2009 – 11:23 am -Wednesday, July 22, 2009
With Your very own Hands You formed me; now breathe Your wisdom over me so I can understand You. When they see me waiting, expecting Your Word, those who fear You will take heart and be glad. I can see now, God, that Your decisions are right; Your testing has taught me what’s true and right. Oh, love me—and right now!—hold me tight! just the way You promised. Now comfort me so I can live, really live; Your revelation is the tune I dance to. Let the fast-talking tricksters be exposed as frauds; they tried to sell me a bill of goods, but I kept my mind fixed on Your counsel. Let those who fear You turn to me for evidence of Your wise guidance. And let me live whole and holy, soul and body, so I can always walk with my head held high.
